CUTTING OF NAILS AND REMOVAL OF HAIR

The last days for cutting nails and removing of hair for those who intend to offer sacrifice are Sunday, 17 May, 2026, before the call to prayer for Maghrib. Remind your family and friends of this. It was narrated from Umm Salamah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "When you sight the crescent of Dhul-Hijjah and one of you intends to offer sacrifice, he should refrain from cutting his hair and nails." Narrated by Muslim (1977). In another narration: "He should not touch anything of his hair or skin." Skin is the part of the human body.

Nabi ﷺ said: "The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion and sympathy are just like one body. When one of the limbs suffers, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever." (Musnad Ahmad)A♥
