Here’s a stronger social-media version that keeps the argument focused on the documented distinction between FG borrowing and state participation, without overstating what the records establish.

LET’S GET THE FACTS RIGHT ON THESE “LOANS” ATTRIBUTED TO PETER OBI

I took some time to examine the loan/project descriptions released by the Anambra State Government, particularly the claim that several of these projects were loans independently obtained by the Anambra State Government under former Governor Peter Obi.

The documents tell a different story.

The critical question is simple:

WHO WAS THE ACTUAL BORROWER?

Here is what the available World Bank, IDA and IFAD records show:

1️⃣ MALARIA CONTROL BOOSTER PROJECT (2007)
The US$180 million IDA financing was provided to the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Anambra was one of seven participating states.

Borrower: Federal Government of Nigeria.

2️⃣ FADAMA III
The original US$250 million IDA financing was to the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Anambra participated through its state-level Fadama programme.

Borrower: Federal Government of Nigeria.

3️⃣ HEALTH SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT / HSDP II
The records show an original Anambra-related financing dating back to 2003, while the 2009 reference relates to additional financing. The World Bank-assisted programme was implemented in Anambra.

Key point: this should not simply be presented as a new loan independently borrowed by Anambra State in 2009.

4️⃣ STATE EDUCATION PROGRAM INVESTMENT PROJECT (SEPIP)
The original US$150 million IDA credit was to the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Anambra was one of the participating states and received funding through subsidiary arrangements.

Borrower: Federal Government of Nigeria.

5️⃣ COMMUNITY AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT (CSDP)
The original financing of SDR 121.5 million, approximately US$200 million, was borrowed by the Federal Government of Nigeria. Anambra was one of the participating states.

Borrower: Federal Government of Nigeria.

6️⃣ NEWMAP – EROSION AND WATERSHED MANAGEMENT PROJECT
The original US$600 million IDA financing was between the IDA and the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Anambra had its own State Project Management Unit and benefited from the programme.

Borrower: Federal Government of Nigeria.

7️⃣ VALUE CHAIN DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (VCDP)
The IFAD financing agreement was between IFAD and the Federal Government of Nigeria, not the Anambra State Government. Anambra was one of the participating states.

Borrower: Federal Government of Nigeria.

SO WHAT IS THE ACTUAL ISSUE?

Participating in a federally financed programme is not the same thing as independently borrowing money from the World Bank or IFAD as a state government.

A state can receive, implement and benefit from a project without being the original borrower under the international financing agreement.

That distinction matters.

If the Anambra State Government wants to describe these projects as loans incurred independently by the Anambra State Government under Peter Obi, then the relevant question is straightforward:

Where are the original loan agreements showing Anambra State Government as the borrower?

Because the World Bank and IFAD documents cited above repeatedly identify the Federal Government of Nigeria as the borrower.

So let’s debate this based on the documents—not political narratives.

Show us the actual borrowing agreements.
Show us who signed them.
Show us who the lender identifies as the borrower.
Show us who was legally responsible for repayment.

That is how this discussion should be settled.

Facts should come before politics.

DON’T MIND THE OLODO — DADDY FREEZE AND HIS SELECTIVE AMNESIA 🤣

So Daddy Freeze says we should question Peter Obi’s wife for carrying an expensive bag, and that it would be “double standards” if we don’t?

My brother, this one is funny. 😂

Let’s add a few nuances.

Nobody said you shouldn’t buy expensive things. Nobody said you shouldn’t spoil your wife.

If you have legitimately earned your money, buy the Birkin. Buy the Benz. Buy whatever you want—even buy half of Lekki if you can afford it! 🤣

Just like that red Ferrari you proudly use as a background prop in your videos for the whole world to see. 😂😂

It’s your money. Enjoy it. Nobody has a problem with that.

The issue is simple:

DON’T USE GOVERNMENT MONEY TO DO IT.

Is that really so difficult to understand, Daddy Freeze?

Peter Obi has not been accused of stealing government money. There’s no EFCC corruption case against him over stealing public funds, no bullion-van drama, and no established story of him using taxpayers’ money to fund a lavish lifestyle.

The man made his money before politics through business and trading.

So if he buys his wife an expensive bag with his legitimately earned money, that is his business.

But when public officials use taxpayers’ money to buy luxury bags, expensive cars, yachts and other extravagant things while ordinary Nigerians are struggling with the cost of living, fuel, food and basic necessities—

THAT is the problem.

Stop pretending you don’t understand the difference.

You say you don’t support anybody, but sometimes your body language is screaming TINUBU. 😂

Hand of Esau, voice of Jacob.

We see you. We just laugh. 😃🤣

Baba, we know the game. 😂😂

If you want to support Tinubu, support him in peace.

And while you’re at it, let the fine lady enjoy her life with her husband’s legitimately earned money. ❤️
