ANTIBIOTIC RESISTANCE PART 4
WE CAN ALL HELP
🦠 ANTIBIOTIC RESISTANCE: WHAT CAN YOU DO?
You don't need to be a scientist or a health worker to help slow antibiotic resistance. You can help in the following ways
1)Don't use antibiotics for every cough, cold or fever. Many infections are caused by viruses, which antibiotics don't treat.
2)Don't take someone else's antibiotics.
3)Don't save leftover antibiotics for your next illness.
4)Use antibiotics only when they are appropriate and follow the instructions given by your healthcare professional.
AND PLEASE REMEMBER:
Antibiotics are powerful medicines—not painkillers, not fever drugs and definitely not “just in case” medicines.
The goal isn't to stop using antibiotics rather,
It's to make sure they keep working when truly needed
Would you share this with someone who keeps antibiotics at home “for emergencies”? 👀
