It is interesting to know that our children are motivated by us as teachers and parents but most importantly they are motivated by the idea of how great they could become and how much they could impart the world for good.

This idea should be nurtured and taken very seriously as it could become the fruits that would feed us all.

Have you ever considered that your child/pupil may not be dull but just forgetful?
It's not like they don't have the capacity to be creative and outstanding kids but that they are not exercising their brains to the degree that it can be productive enough to bring that result.

Most of the time, pupils don't give correct answers not because they weren't taught or they weren't paying attention to the lesson but somewhere between the lesson period and assessment, retention has not occurred. Over the years a lot of students have wailed after writing an exam because they could not remember the answers to the questions at the period of assessment.

Gaining knowledge is one thing but using the right knowlegde to solve a problem is another thing. This requires understanding and understanding requires consistent practise and repetition of learning activities till the concept is retained.

Learning Buddies pushes a motion that learning should be done in series of repetition not as a scheme of work that quickly brushes through different topics. Children should be provided with materials and activities that allows them to learn according to their individual learning paces and be assessed based on that.
The use of the Interactive Preschool Binder will facilitate learning consistency and provide the child with the repetitive measure to produce a good retentive memory for easy understanding of learning concepts.

A preschooler is a child between the age 2 - 6. And at this age, there is only one thing very important to them: play. Naturally this is one of the ways by which they adapt to their environment. They basically want to just play all day if you let them. So how do we get preschoolers to learn letters? It is a known fact that if kids love you..they would want to be with you all the time. They will be eager to see you and will be interested in whatever you do. This same concept applies to learning, "a child's learning challenges are half solved once they are motivated by their own love for learning". It is your responsibility as a parent or a teacher to help the child find his/her interest in learning. Now know this, all children must not have the same interests in learning. We must be conscious of individual differences and seek to understand their learning styles.

Most times parents go through so much stress just to make sure our preschoolers submit a well done home work. Some even go as far as doing it for the child, as long as the work is done right? We may put so much pressure on the child during home work forgetting that the child is still LEARNING that concepts that she/he is being assessed on.

Homework is for the child to test his/her strengths and weaknesses. It should expose whatever learning challenges a child has at that period of time.

As parents, we should always try to communicate back to the teachers about the child's learning challenges after doing homeworks. The teachers don't always expect perfection, but we thrive to see our children GROWING in every area of learning. Feedbacks from home work is a very helpful hint to start with.

Home work is used to assess what a child is learning within a period of time while exams is used to assess what a child has learnt after a period of time. We have to understand that homework doesn't mean a child has learnt or that submitting a well done homework is an evidence that learning has taken place.

It rather illustrates and emphasises the learning PROCESS.
