THE RAINMAKERS
If you want to make big money in architecture, you've got to be one of the top rainmakers. Those who make it rain, get the rewards… the rest, simply execute the work. Never be among those who execute the work; be among the rainmakers.

The only thing that is constant in life is CHANGE. That's why you would arrange your bedroom in a particular way this week, and in next week, you begin to hate how the bedroom looks like.

And before one could say Afridezign, you're rearranging the same bedroom you called "exquisite" just last week. That is not only human nature, by a sign or characteristics of people that have topnotch taste.

And that is how this client of mine woke up after 13 years and said he does not like his building anymore. To him, the building has become "old school" and obsolette.

He needs something Modern and Classy. They are actually two buildings situated in two different plots, sharing a fence. But both owned by him.

He wanted to rearrange the internal makeup of the both buildings, as he wanted to use the ground entire floor of one as his home office.

Unlike when the buildings were first built, this time around, he wants more space, thereby asking that i collapse some spaces together so as to achieve hefty space.

The spaces affected includes madam's "office" - the kitchen, madam's bedroom, the master's bedroom and the main living room (lounge).

With the new arrangement, two teams can play a football match in the main lounge now.

We didn't only rearrange and expand rooms, but we also made sure we realized his dreams of possessing a modern and contemporary home, any man of class would be proud of.

As usual, we did not disappoint. Afridezign gave him a CLASSIC! Check out the design below, that was the result of our sleepless nights, sometimes in the studio, without going home to our beloved families.

We can achieve same for you. Are you a man of Class, Taste and Elegance? We are in business for no other person, but solely for YOU.

CONTENT CREATION SECRET 4 ARCHITECTS

Arc. Chukwudi is a very ambitious architect, who has passion for creating beautiful buildings and designs that would leave a lasting impression on anyone who saw them.

I saw Arc. Chukwudi as my mentor and role model in the architecture profession even way back when he was still struggling as an architect.

I came to Abuja to meet him. He had been here for more than 5 years before I came. But if you looked at him then, all you would see was poverty. We both worked at Police Post Housing Estate here in Abuja.

Several times, he contemplated going back to the east where he had come from, but I kept consoling and encouraging him not to relocate from Abuja.

I believed in Arc. Chukwudi and looked up to him, because I saw in him a very great architect. He is dedicated, tenacious, hardworking and talented.

Arc. Chukwudi had always dreamed of becoming a successful architect, but he knew that it would take more than just talent and hard work to achieve his goals.

So one day, Arc. Chukwudi came across an article about the power of content creation (just as you're reading this now) and how it could help him reach a massive audience and generate millions of naira (Nigerian currency) in revenue.

Intrigued by this idea, he decided to take action and start creating content that would showcase his skills as an architect and attract potential clients.

Arc. Chukwudi began by creating a blog where he could share his ideas, showcase his designs and give tips on how to build beautiful and sustainable structures.

He wrote about everything from the latest building materials to the most innovative designs, and he made sure to include high-quality images and videos to illustrate his points.

As Chukwudi's blog began to gain traction, he realized that he needed to do more to get his message out to a wider audience.

He started using social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter to share his content and engage with his followers.

He posted photos of his work, shared news about the latest projects he was working on, and even offered free design consultations to his followers.

Before long, Chukwudi's online presence had exploded. He had tens of thousands of followers across his social media platforms, and his blog was getting thousands of visitors each day.

People were starting to take notice of his work, and he was being contacted by potential clients from all over Nigeria.

One of Chukwudi's biggest breakthroughs came when he was approached by a major construction company in Nigeria.

They had seen his work online and were impressed by his designs and ideas. They offered him a contract to design a new commercial building in Lagos, and they were willing to pay him millions of naira for his services.

Chukwudi couldn't believe his luck. He had always dreamed of designing buildings that would make a difference in people's lives, and now he had the opportunity to do just that.

He put all of his energy and creativity into the project, and he delivered a design that was both functional and visually stunning.

Word of Arc. Chukwudi's success began to spread, and he was soon being approached by other construction companies, developers, and investors who were interested in working with him.

He continued to create content that showcased his work and expertise, and he used social media to build relationships with potential clients.

Over time, Arc. Chukwudi became known as one of the most talented architects in Abuja, and his projects were featured in magazines and newspapers all over the country.

He continued to push the boundaries of design and innovation, and he never stopped creating content that inspired and informed his followers.

In the end, Arc. Chukwudi's dedication and hard work paid off. He had achieved his dream of becoming a successful architect, and he had done it by leveraging the power of content creation and social media to reach a massive audience and generate millions of naira in revenue.

The lesson of Chukwudi's story is clear: If you want to succeed as an architect in Nigeria, you need to be willing to think outside the box and use every tool at your disposal to reach potential clients.

Content creation and social media are powerful tools that can help you build your brand, showcase your skills, and attract the attention of potential clients.

By creating content that is informative, engaging, and visually stunning, you can set yourself apart from the competition and position yourself as a thought leader in your field.

With hard work, dedication, and a commitment to excellence, you too can achieve massive success as an architect in Nigeria.

HOW TO IDENTIFY YOUR IDEAL CLIENT Pt1

Do you know that running a business or a practice without having a picture of who your ideal client is, is like building a skyscraper without a building plan. You will lack focus, direction and speed in your career.

But the question is, who is an Ideal Client? Note that there are clients and there is the IDEAL client. Never waste your time on clients, search for the ideal client wherever he may be and give him all your attention.

Even if he is inside a rat hole, run into the hole and fetch him. Thus your only task is finding the ideal client, and when you do, every other thing will be settled.

So who is the ideal client? An ideal client is that man or woman who NEEDS your product or service the MOST. Take note of the words NEEDS and MOST.

To identify your ideal client, you need to:

✓ Know who your ideal client is.
✓ Know what your ideal client wants or needs.
✓ Where your ideal client is located.
✓ The reason why your ideal client needs you.

Now, you ask, "but how do I recognize my ideal client?" This is simple!

There are clients you have worked for/with in the past, some you enjoyed working with, while some you regretted ever crossing paths with them.

If there are certain people you don’t enjoy working with, exclude them from your list. Take some time to look at their gender, age bracket, industry, location and income level.

If you enjoy working with someone, the process is often much easier and the results obtained are often much better.

You need to be excited about who you work with. If it doesn't excite you, then it will make your business suffer.

If your efforts are to serve everyone, you will actually end up serving no one. There are people out there who genuinely need and value what you offer and are ready to pay you now.

Diligently search out who those people are and where you can find them.

Your success and happiness do not depend on the huge number of clients you work, but on the number of right clients you work for.

To your success 🥂

CREATE DEMAND AND DESIRE

Let me make bold to say that if you are existing on earth at such a time as this, you're most fortunate and privileged.

Why do I say that? I say that because we are in the time and era of technology and internet. This is the easiest time in the history of the earth to become wealthy, not just wealthy, but stupendously so.

The internet and social media is your quickest route to mesmerizing wealth, if you know how to use it.

I always tell my students, that if Nigerian youths can maximize technology and the internet very well, we will produce an army of Dangotes and Otedolas.

Why did I say so? Because the internet carries limitless possibilities. Just like God told Abraham, as far as your eyes can see, that shall I give to you.

That is how limitless technology and internet is with possibilities.

I'm writing this piece because many architects and business owner have complained that marketing on social media is not effective.

The argue that the have been posting consistently on their social media handle, without significant result.

But each time I hear that, I always tell them that the problem is not with the tool (social media), but with the workman (business owner).

The question now becomes, how do you effectively use the tool to turn out good result?

The answer is "CREATE DEMAND AND DESIRE" The things you have been posting on social media, do they arouse desire and elicit demand in the hearts of your audience.

You don't just post on social media for posting sake. You have to be creative in posting. Try as much as you can to create emotions with every post you make on social media.

If you're an architect or business owner who is trying to get clients and you have been posting valuable content consistently yet no sales, you are mostly caught up in value trap.

Value trap is when you post at least 3 times a week for 3 months, consistently giving value without making a sale.

No one is asking you, "How much?" "How can I pay?" "Where is your office or shop?" or "How can we work with you?"

See Oga, just posting valuable content won't automatically convert to sales. The only thing that does is - posting STRATEGIC valuable content that was carefully crafted out to create DEMAND and DESIRE.

HOW TO MARKET YOUR FIRM
If your architecture practice is no longer attracting quality clients as it used to, look for a way to do these 3 things:

1. Create valuable content for your target audience.

2. Recommend really valuable products in the building industry to your audience.

3. Prove to your target audience that you care about them even when money hasn't exchanged hands.

With any of these three things I mentioned above done every day, you will never struggle with your architecture marketing again.

In a noisy architecture market, responsible clients will always choose the architect they derive the most value from.

No matter how tired you are, always do your best to market your practice every day by creating value.

I just want to drop this quick one here as it hot. No long stories.

See dear Architect, if you're still practicing or focusing on Architecture alone in this continent of our, poverty will soon knock on your door.

Quickly look for a complementary business or businesses to add to Architecture before you die of depression.

See, you don't need a dime to go into another business. Like a wise man once said, you don't need to build a house to be a real estate expert. I will tell you what to do...

First discover the business you have interest in. But I must warn you, whatever business you would choose must be within your industry.

As an architect, do not go to medical field to pick a complimentary business. You will be confused and distracted.

Look for interior designers, real estate developers, building materials dealers like tiles, roofing sheets, security doors, crack tiles, ornamental decorators, landscapers, etc

Team up with them and market their products or services as if they are your own. When you get a client take them to the dealers office or warehouse for the transaction.

Once payment is made, you will take your commission and hit the road again for more clients.

Let me tell you what this will do for you;
1. You will never be under pressure again to charge peanuts and humiliating charges for your services.

2. In the course of scouting for clients for your partner, you will run into Architecture clients too, who need your architectural services.

But there's a little challenge here. Do you know how to market a product? If you don't, please go and learn it. You will need a lot of it marketing strategies.

Do this and thank me later!!!

STOP SELLING; START EDUCATING

Many architects have given up on marketing their practices, both online and offline. If you ask them, they would say that they are not seeing any results in their marketing.

This is why so many are frustrated and desperate to land a client at all cost. Thus they are ready to go to any length by applying all manner of unethical and deceptive means for landing a client.

But here is the reason why you're frustrated at marketing. Research has shown that many people (clients) are not ready to pay for architectural services on the immediate.

You can hardly find someone who needs architectural plan like now, now. It's under probability.

⁣Infact according to the research, only 3% needs an architect or are ready for a building plan like now, now. 17% are still searching for more information concerning architect to use and architectural services.

Another 20% are aware that they have a need architectural drawings for their projects, while a staggering 60% do not even realize they need an architect or architectural services.

This statistics will show you that, most times, you're selling to (disturbing) people that are not ready for architectural services...NOW. ⁣

The reason is because most people don't even realize they need a building plan or that they need a qualified architect for their projects.⁣

And so when all you're doing is sell, sell, sell, the target audience quickly moves on because in their minds, they don't need what you have to offer and you're becoming a pest to them.

If however you decide to educate and inform people in a simple way about what you do and why what you're offering (architectural services) is important, you will discover that even the 60% that were not aware they had that need will discover why they need what you have to offer. ⁣

A low hanging fruit is the 17% that is looking for information about architects and architectural services. But the question is, would they find you as they are looking?

You need to make sure you're there to take care of that need when they start looking. ⁣

So think about it. ⁣

Are You trying to sell to only the 3% that are ready to pay or would you rather make sure that you're educating and passing information that will help your prospective clients.

⁣Think about it.
