A new investigative television programme, UNSAID TRUTHS, has premiered on Lincoln TV with a strong focus on exposing hidden societal challenges and promoting accountability in Nigeria.

The maiden edition of the programme, hosted by Ezinne Nwokwu and reported by Ezinne Blessing, examined the alleged neglect of students with special needs in the country’s education sector.

The investigative report highlighted the struggles faced by children with special needs, including inadequate learning facilities, lack of trained teachers, and insufficient government support. Footage aired during the programme showed students battling poor learning conditions while educators expressed concerns over limited resources and inadequate training.

According to the report, documents obtained by the investigative team revealed a pattern of neglect and alleged mismanagement of funds meant for special needs education. The programme alleged that resources intended to improve inclusive education had been diverted, leaving schools unequipped to cater to vulnerable students.

Speaking during the broadcast, the host stressed the need for urgent government intervention and called for stronger commitment toward inclusive education and support for children living with disabilities. The programme further urged authorities and stakeholders to prioritize policies that would improve access to quality education for all learners.

The debut episode ended with a call for public engagement and collective action to address issues affecting marginalized groups in society. The producers of UNSAID TRUTHS stated that the programme will continue to investigate critical national issues and amplify voices often ignored in mainstream discussions.

UNSAID TRUTHS airs every Thursday on Lincoln TV.
