Good news for 2026 UTME candidates: JAMB has rolled out a new process that lets you verify and upload your O'Level results from the comfort of your home.

1. Visit the result verification platform and enter your NIN

2. Select your exam sittings and examination body (starting with WAEC)

3. Provide your email and phone number, then make payment

4. Enter your exam number, series, and year

5. Get your Verification Code

6. Text "VERIFY" + your code to 55019 or 66019

7. Wait for JAMB's upload notification

8. For two sittings: log into your e-Facility profile, select "2026 UTME O'Level Upload," and enter your code

9. Select 5 to 9 subjects for your application

10. Click "Apply the O'Level Results" and confirm your successful submission

This new system is designed to make the process faster, safer, and more convenient, while also curbing the use of fraudulent or unverified results, since everything is checked directly against WAEC and other exam bodies' records.

FG RELEASES 2026/2027 ADMISSION LIST FOR FEDERAL UNITY COLLEGES

The Federal Government has announced the release of the 2026/2027 admission list for successful candidates offered admission into Junior Secondary School One (JSS1) of the Federal Unity Colleges (FUCs) nationwide.

The Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, CON, who approved the release, said the development reaffirms the Federal Government's commitment to ensuring a transparent, accessible and orderly admission process for prospective students seeking placement in Federal Unity Colleges.

Parents and guardians can check the admission status of their children and wards through the Federal Ministry of Education's admission portal or the notice board of the relevant Federal Unity College.

Successful candidates are required to print their admission slips and proceed to the Federal Unity College indicated on the slip for confirmation and completion of the admission process.

Parents and guardians are advised to check admission status promptly and ensure that successful candidates report to their respective colleges as required.

JAMB: UPLOAD OF O'LEVEL RESULTS FROM THE COMFORT OF CANDIDATES' HOMES

As a responsive organisation committed to providing efficient and accessible services, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has facilitated the verification of candidates' O'Level results directly from the various examination bodies responsible for conducting the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), beginning with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

Consequently, candidates can now upload their O'Level results from the comfort of their homes, while the Board undertakes the verification of such results directly with the issuing examination bodies.

The initiative is part of the Board's renewed commitment to making services easier, faster, safer and more convenient for candidates. By using technology to reduce unnecessary visits to CBT centres, queues and manual processes, JAMB is putting candidate ease of service delivery at the centre of its operations.

The new arrangement also addresses challenges associated with manual O'Level result uploads, including misplaced or mixed-up paper results, presentation of unverified or fraudulent results, and errors in the manual entry of subjects and grades. Through the integration of JAMB's eFacility platform with examination bodies, results can now be verified directly against the examination body's records before being downloaded into the candidate's profile.

How to Upload and Verify Your O'Level Result:
FIRST LEVEL: VERIFICATION OF RESULTS
1. Visit “buyresultsverificationcode.ng”.
2. Enter your “NIN” and click “Verify NIN”.
3. Select the desired number of sittings and the appropriate examination body/bodies, then click “Continue”.
4. Enter your email address and GSM number, then click “Pay Now”. You will be redirected to the payment gateway.
5. Make payment using your debit card or bank transfer.
6. After successful payment, enter your examination details, including:

i. Examination number
ii. Examination series
iii. Examination year

7. Verify your result(s) for the number of sittings selected and proceed to obtain your Verification Code.

SECOND LEVEL: UPLOAD OF O’LEVEL RESULTS

8. Send “VERIFY” {Verification Code} to “55019” or “66019”.
9. Your result will be uploaded, and you will receive a notification.
10. For candidates with two sittings: You will be notified to visit your profile on e-Facility.
11. On your e-Facility dashboard, click “2026 UTME O’Level Upload”.
12. Enter your “Verification Code”- Your two verified results will be displayed.
13. Select the required subjects from the displayed results, ensuring that:

i. You select a minimum of 5 subjects.
ii. You select a maximum of 9 subjects.
iii. No subject is selected more than once.

14. Click “Apply the O’Level Results”.
15. Upon successful upload, you will receive a notification confirming the submission.

The verification service provides candidates with a convenient alternative, especially during periods of high patronage and network challenges at CBT centres.

This initiative reflects the commitment of the sixth Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Segun Aina, to a more customer-oriented and technology-driven service delivery system. The Board will continue to deploy technology and collaborate with relevant examination and government agencies to make its services simpler, safer and more accessible to candidates.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗦.

Every admission season, thousands of candidates log into their JAMB CAPS portal hoping to see good news, only to find "Not Admitted" staring back at them. If this is you, don't panic. This simply means no institution has yet recommended or offered you admission through CAPS at this point. Below are five common reasons this happens, and what you can do about each one.

𝟭. 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮
Your bio-data, O'level results, or UTME details may not fully match what is on your JAMB profile. Even a small discrepancy in name spelling, date of birth, or exam numbers can cause a mismatch and stall your admission process. Always double-check that your details are consistent across JAMB, WAEC/NECO, and your institution's portal.

𝟮. 𝗪𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗱 𝗢'𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁
Institutions require specific O'level subject combinations with credit passes, usually at not more than two sittings. If your results don't meet the minimum requirement for your chosen course, or if you uploaded the wrong result, your admission cannot be processed until this is corrected.

𝟯. 𝗟𝗼𝘄 𝗝𝗔𝗠𝗕 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲
Every course and institution has a cut-off mark. If your UTME score falls below what your chosen institution or department requires for that session, you will not be recommended for admission, no matter how strong your other qualifications are. Consider checking your institution's specific cut-off and, if needed, explore other institutions where your score qualifies.

𝟰. 𝗪𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Choosing subjects that don't align with your intended course of study is a common but costly mistake. For example, offering the wrong combination for Medicine, Law, or Engineering can automatically disqualify you from being considered, even with a good score. It is important to confirm the correct subject requirements for your course before and after registration.

𝟱. 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗬𝗲𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱
Sometimes it is simply a matter of timing. Institutions release admission lists in batches, and CAPS is updated progressively throughout the admission period. If you meet all requirements, your name may still come up in a later batch. Patience and regular checks are key.

If your CAPS status shows "Not Admitted," don't assume the worst. Take time to review your data, confirm your O'level results, check your score against cut-off marks, verify your subject combination, and stay updated as more admission lists are released.

A lot of candidates are wondering whether they need to upload their WAEC, NECO or NABTEB result again after already providing it during UTME registration.
‎
‎The important thing is to check whether your O’Level result is properly reflected on your JAMB CAPS.
‎
‎If your result and grades are correctly showing under My O’Level Result, you generally do not need to upload it again simply because you are seeking admission.
‎
‎However, if your result is not showing, showing “AR,” or some of the grades are incorrect, you should visit a JAMB-accredited CBT centre to have it properly uploaded or corrected.

RSU Announces Supplementary Admission Applications for 2026/2027 Academic Session

The Management of the Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, wishes to inform the general public and prospective candidates seeking admission into the University for the 2026/2027 academic session that supplementary applications are now open.

The supplementary application is available for all programmes/courses in the University, including all programmes in the Faculty of Engineering, with the exception of the following programmes:

- Law
- Medicine and Surgery
- Nursing

Candidates who did not meet the Merit and Catchment Area cut-off marks for their preferred programme(s) are therefore advised to take advantage of the supplementary admission opportunity by applying for other available programmes through their Candidate Application Portal.

Candidates are required to complete their supplementary application via:

The supplementary application portal will remain open until Sunday, 6th September 2026.

The University further wishes to clarify that only candidates who effected a change of programme on JAMB CAPS on or before 4th July 2026, prior to the release of the University’s cut-off marks, were considered for admission by the Senate Admission Committee.

Accordingly, candidates who changed their programme after 4th July 2026 are advised to proceed with the supplementary application registration to explore other available admission opportunities.

Prospective candidates are encouraged to complete their applications within the stipulated period and ensure that all information supplied during the registration process is accurate.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is urging intending UTME and Direct Entry applicants to double-check their bio-data against their National Identification Number (NIN) records before they begin the registration process.

The Board explained that every profile is auto-populated using data pulled straight from NIMC's database — JAMB itself has no hand in generating or altering this information.

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝘂𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:

1. Name Accuracy – Check that your name is spelled and ordered exactly as it appears on your NIN.

2. Birth Date – Verify it's correct so it doesn't cause admission problems down the line.

3. General Bio-Data – Go through every other detail tied to your NIN for possible mistakes.

4. NIMC Match – Confirm your JAMB details line up with what's officially on file with NIMC.

5. Proper Correction Route – Any errors should go through NIMC's formal correction channel, not just an affidavit.

6. Full Verification First – Don't create your JAMB profile until every check is complete.

The Board added that its portal has a built-in "Correction of Data" feature covering names, birth dates, state/LGA, and gender — though this comes with standard fees and procedures.

Candidates are being advised to sort out these checks early so they can avoid delays or complications when it's time to register or gain admission.
