If you're travelling to the UK for the Autumn 2026 intake, here's an important health update you should be aware of.

The UK Government is offering eligible first-time university students under 25 the MenB (Bexsero) vaccination.

💉 What is MenB vaccination?
The MenB vaccine helps protect against meningococcal group B bacteria, which can cause serious infections such as meningitis and septicaemia.

International students are advised to receive their first dose in their home country, where the vaccine is available, before travelling to the UK.

Please note that this is not a student visa or university enrolment requirement. However, eligible students are encouraged to speak with their healthcare provider about the vaccination before travelling.

One area you must get right in your UK Student Visa application is your Proof of Funds (POF).

Here are two important things you must take note of:

1️⃣ Do NOT submit business or company bank statements as financial evidence.

UKVI does not accept them as evidence of your own funds for your student visa application, and this could result in a visa refusal.

2️⃣Calculate your required maintenance funds carefully.

Make sure you meet the current UKVI financial requirements. It is also advisable to keep an additional amount above the minimum required funds. This will cater for any exchange rate fluctuations before your application is assessed.

Before submitting your application, make sure your Proof of Funds meets the required UKVI guidelines.

If you missed the September 2026 UK intake but still want to begin your studies before the year ends, applications are now open for the November 2026 intake.

Only a limited number of universities and courses are available for this intake, so now is the best time to submit your application and avoid delays in the process.

If you are planning to apply to University of Hull (London) or Aston University (London), please take note of this important update regarding financial documents.

Following a recent compliance review, Microfinance Bank statements and Globus Bank statements will no longer be accepted as proof of financial evidence by both universities.

Please Note: This update also applies to students who have already received offers for the September 2026 intake.

If you are yet to submit your financial documents, you must ensure they comply with the updated requirements.

5 Reasons You Shouldn't Delay Your Tuition Deposit Payment

1️⃣Your Admission Offer Could Be Withdrawn: Many universities give a deadline for paying your tuition deposit. If you fail to meet it, the university may withdraw your admission offer.

2️⃣Your CAS or Other Visa Documents Could Be Delayed: Your tuition deposit is often required before the university begins processing important documents needed for your visa application. The later you pay, the later these documents may be issued.

3️⃣Your Visa Application Could Be Delayed: A delay in receiving your university documents means a delay in submitting your visa application. This can reduce the time available for visa processing and may affect your study plans.

4️⃣You Could Miss Your Preferred Intake: If you fail to meet your tuition deposit deadline, you may have to defer your admission to the next available intake, which is not always guaranteed.

5️⃣You May Experience Unnecessary Stress: Waiting until the last minute often creates avoidable pressure. From rushing to make payments to worrying about deadlines and visa decisions, the entire process becomes more stressful than it needs to be.

Here’s the thing: receiving an admission offer feels great, but what you do next matters just as much. Delaying your tuition deposit can affect your entire study abroad journey.

Once you receive your offer, check your tuition deposit deadline, plan your finances, and complete the payment on time.
