The hearts are hurting!

History will record the sad story of a courageous young boy named from whose country moved mountains for him in a trial to save his life after falling into a 32m deep well.

Despite five days of the magnificent efforts from the emergency rescue team and the people of Chefchaouen working around the clock to save his life, Rayan has been announced dead.

We can't even imagine how the parents of Rayan are feeling now, may Allah make it easy on them.

Rayan is in a better place now. We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.

Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله stated:

"The example of those who are brothers for the sake of Allāh is like the example of the hand and eye. If the eye tears, the hand wipes the tears, and if the hand is in pain, the eye cries due to the pain."

قال شيخ الأسلام ابن تيمية رحمه الله :

" مثل الأخوة في الله كمثل اليد والعين ،فإذا دمعت العين مسحت اليد دمعها،وإذا تألمت اليد بكت العين لأجلها " .

Speaking About That Which Concerns You

Malik Bin Dinar [رحمه الله] said:

«إذَا رَأيتَ قَسَاوَةً فِي قَلبِكَ ، ووَهَنًا فِي بَدَنِكَ ، وحِرمَانًا فِي رِزقِكَ ، فَاعلَم أنَّكَ تَكَلَّمتَ فِيمَا لَا يَعنِيكَ.»

❝When you see that there is in your , in your and you have been prohibited from your , then know that you have spoken about something which does not concern you.❞

The reward for your suffering 🤍

Shaykh As Sa’dy said;

How many hardships both related to the dunya and the Deen have caused you to become humbly submissive to Allah, and forced you to beg only Him?

And how many supplications through which has Allah lifted away hardships and harms.

So whoever has been given the success to make Dua excessively, then let him take glad tidings of a close response. And whoever has placed all of his needs with Allah, then let him be tranquil and assured of its fulfillment by His grace and recompense.

“Then why, when Our punishment came to them, did they not humble themselves?” (Surah al-An’am, 6:43)

فَلَوْلَآ إِذْ جَآءَهُم بَأْسُنَا تَضَرَّعُوا۟

From the greatest of cures to any sickness is:

Doing good deeds
Remembering Allah and thinking good of Him
Supplication (du’a) to Allah
Seeking repentance
Humility & gratitude to Allah

And the effects of these actions:
The illness is pushed away, cure attained [and a higher station in the Hereafter secured]

Constantly remember your utter dependence on Allah alone and seek cure through turning to Him. Medicines are a means, but nothing can ever work without Allah’s decree!

Ibn al-Jawzi رحمه الله said:

“You should know that the beauty of a person’s Islām lies in his leaving those things that do not concern him.

When Allāh wills evil for a person, He puts him through the test of argumentation – when Allāh wills good for a person, He inspires him to do good deeds.

If Allāh takes away your tongue and gives back to you your heart, He has been extremely kind to you; but if He takes away from you your heart and gives you back your tongue, then know that you are in a serious calamity.”

Shaykh Sa’ad al-Khathlān [may Allāh preserve him] said:

“One of the greatest supplications which is imperative upon the Muslim, and he should aspire and strive to recite this [supplication]:

رَبِّ لَا تُزِغْ قَلْبِي بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنِي، وَهَبْ لِي مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْوَهَّابُ

‘My Lord! Do not let my heart deviate after you have guided me. Grant me Your Mercy. You are certainly the Bestower ˹of all bounties˺.’”

Your sustenance 'رزق' will reach you , even if its stuck between the SHARP TEETH of predators:

Al-Jahiz said 1200 years ago:
وأيّ شيء أعجب من طائر ليس له رزق إلّا أن يخلّل أسنان التّمساح، ويكون ذلك له
"What is more amazing than a bird, the sustenance of which is stuck between the teeth of crocodiles, and they manage to obtain it!!"
["Kitab al-Hayawan", 2/311].

A bird called the 'Egyptian plover' has amazed people for thousands of years. These birds have developed a mutually beneficial relationship with crocodiles. The meat that gets stuck in the teeth of crocodiles causes bacterial infections, so they allow these birds to clean their teeth. The birds act like dentists for these crocodiles, and the birds benefit because they get to eat leftover meat.

The Qur'an states:
وَاللَّهُ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ
"And God is the best of providers." [62:11].
