JESUS SEES YOU, EVEN IN THE WAITING ( Part 1)
John 11:3-6
`“Lord, the one You love is sick.”`
But when Jesus heard that, He stayed where He was for 2 more days.
**********************
Martha and Mary sent someone to tell Jesus:
“Lord, the one You love — Lazarus — is sick.” (John 11:3)
But Jesus didn’t rush there.
He heard the message, and He stayed 2 more days where He was. (John 11:6)
By the time Jesus finally came, Lazarus had already died and been buried for 4 days. (John 11:17)
It looked like Jesus was late right??????
BUT JESUS WAS WAITING ON PURPOSE.
He wanted to show something bigger than just healing sickness, He wanted to show He can raise the dead. (John 11:25, 43)
So sometimes when we cry to God and He doesn’t show up immediately...
It’s not that He didn’t get the message.
He got it. He just has a bigger plan.
**************************
WHY DIDN’T JESUS RUSH?
1. It wasn’t about delay. It was about glory.
`“This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory”` — John 11:4
Jesus knew if He healed Lazarus while he was sick, people would say "miracle".
But if He raised him from the dead, people would say "God".
2. He loved them, that’s why He waited.
`“Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.”` — John 11:5
Sometimes the love of God looks like waiting, because He’s working on a bigger testimony.
3. To grow their faith
Martha and Mary had to go from `“if You had been here”` to `“I believe You are the Resurrection and the Life.”` — John 11:25
God sometimes allows the situation to get to "dead" so He can show up as Resurrection....................
