WHAT EVERY SEWING MACHINE USER SHOULD KNOW.

Lack of knowledge on how to handle some sewing machine faults will cost you thousands of naira.

One of such fault is looped/loose stitches.

Looped/loose stitches can be formed either at the upper part or lower part of the fabric.

The correction for both cases is different. So pay attention to the guide below:

đź“Ś If the loose stitches are formed at the lower part of the fabric, it implies that the UPPER TENSION is loose. Therefore, you will tighten the upper tension. Tighten it gradually and test till the correction is seen.

PS: If you notice that the thread begins to break/cut, it means that the upper tension is too tight. You only have to loosen it a bit.

đź“Ś If the loose stitches are formed at the upper part of the fabric, it means that the LOWER TENSION is loose. The lower tension is often located on the bobbin case (popularly known as shuttle). You will find a tiny screw at the side of the bobbin case. What you need to do is to tighten this screw with a tiny-mouthed screwdriver.

PS: If the bobbin thread begins to break/cut, then you should loose the lower tension a bit.

This guide works for both industrial and domestic sewing machines.

STYLING TIPS FOR SHORT WOMEN

Here are some styling tips that will suite your clients or you as a petit person.

1) Show Some Ankle
Well simply put, do not wear trousers too long for you.

2) Avoid Baggy Jeans

3) Avoid Bulky Platform Shoes
It is common to see petit women marching on top of bulky platform shoes because it makes them a few inches taller. However, it draws attention to your legs rather than away from it. In addition, it makes your leg look shorter.

4) Short Skirts Are Perfect for you

5) Do Away With Oversized Bags, they tend to “swallow” you

6) Do not wear footwear with Ankle Straps. They cut your legs and draw attention to them

7) Vertical vs. Horizontal Lines
As a petit person, avoid horizontal lines and embrace vertical lines. Vertical lines make you appear taller.

With these few tips, you can dress as a petit person and step out with confidence.

As a Fashion Business Owner, you are not just dressing your customers, you should display an authority by educating your customers on the best fit for them.

In that way, your customers pays your premium price with happiness having gotten value more than cutting and sewing
