Let's talk about Faith
Luke 17:6
"If your faith were only the size of a musturd seed, Jesus answered, it would be large enough to uproot that mulberry tree over there and send it hurtling into the sea! Your commands would bring immediate results."
The question is "do we even have Faith?" You see if you truly think about it, you will realize that most of us don't have Faith, what we have is HOPE.
Now what is the difference between Faith and hope?
Hope is expecting something good to happen
Faith is believing it has happened.
While Hope waits, Faith prepares.
Let's use an expectant mother to describe having Faith. A woman who is pregnant with a child does not have hope that she will have a baby to hold and train, she knows it so she finds herself preparing for the arrival of the child.
Faith implies that the moment you believe it, you have it. Jesus said "your command would bring IMMEDIATE results"
Let's describe hope like this, a mother tells her child "I will pick you up from school" when the school closes all the child has to do is WAIT. The child is expecting the mother to come so she waits. Now this is where many of us feel disappointment, because as the child is waiting she sees other children been picked up, as every car turns into the school she is expecting to see her mother. So she waits but as time passes on, she begins to feel disappointed.
That's not Faith! Faith doesn't just wait, Faith prepares and faith can NEVER disappoint.
Would a pregnant woman see another woman with children and be feeling disappointed? Asking "God when?" Crying that she doesn't have her own kids?
No! Why? Because she is pregnant, Infact seeing other women with children excites her and makes her anticipate meeting her own child. Her joy increases not reduces.
