Je n'aime pas me lever tôt — I do not like waking up early

The one word that will make your French sound natural immediately.

Ben.

In English you say well or um or you know.
In French people say ben.

Ben, je ne sais pas — Well, I do not know.
Ben, c'est compliqué — Well, it is complicated.
Ben oui! — Well yes of course!

Formel — with someone you do not know well:
Quel est votre métier? — What is your job?

Informel — with a friend:
Tu fais quoi comme travail? — What do you do for work?
