The Nurturing Writing Prowess in students workshops was more than ecstatic, enlightenment, educative and impactful are the best words to describe the class specially designed for literacy teachers.

Creative writing skills is on an all time low amongst our students in Nigeria and on a global landscape, this is evident in the recently released WAEC result. At HL Educational Company limited we believe that for there to be an improvement in composition skills, teachers must be equipped with the rudiment of what it takes to teach and make student develop joy and fun for writing.

The truth is, when writing is weak in a school every other subject will most definitely suffer. The need for an upgrade in know how of teachers is so critical in such a time as this.

At the Nurturing Writing Prowess workshop literacy teachers were equipped with the tool kit and tool set required to effectively nurture essay writing skills in students of all age group.

I had the honour of facilitating one of the break out sessions at the just concluded KADA EduPACT International Summit 2025 with a theme: Strategic Visioning for Educational Transformation:Developing a Kaduna State Education Model. It was a time of learning, unlearning and relearning from arrays of speakers and education experts from all around the world.

Kaduna State is indeed pioneering a new frontier in the educational landscape in Nigeria, this is self evident in the reduction of out of school children in the state. Enrollment into public schools is taking a new turn, this is an indication that the state is driving and championing education for all and inclusiveness.

We urge policy makers to therefore take all the recommendations and resolutions from the summit and see to its immediate implementation.

Loads of thanks to the steering committee and LOC for having me contribute my quota to the success of the summit.

Yesterday I got inducted into the Nigerian Institute of training and development (NITAD). The L&D space is the bedrock for all other development and transformation any nation desires. Continuous improvement and personal development must be the quest of professionals in this space.

So elated to be a member of NITAD as I look forward to adding more value to the professional and personal development landscape.

Kaduna State won it all at the 2025 National Agile competition.

Just before the start of the state preliminaries, I had a meeting with the Kaduna Agile Project coordinator Hajia Maryam Dangaji and I said we will everything, she said what then will other states win? I replied that we are the centre of learning and this was the reality at the competition.

We won the following categories: Debate, Spelling bee, Painting, Poetry Out Loud, Digital literacy, Environment & Entrepreneurship and our girls defeated Ekiti State at the basketball final.

As the technical support for the Kaduna agile team, I feel so proud for what Agile has achieved in the state when it comes to the quality of education, creating of safe learning spaces for girls in our public schools and most especially increment in enrollment into the public schools.

Indeed we stood out as worthy champions which is a testament of the fact that we are the centre of learning.

Thank you to my amazing team who invested their time and efforts in preparing the students for the national competition.

Team Kaduna: we win or we win was our slogan and we delivered on this.

Earlier today I paid a condolence visit to the MD of NTIC on the demise of the founder of the Nigerian Tulip International Colleges Fethullah Gülen. May his soul rest in peace. I also presented a copy of The Quintessential Teacher to him.
