IBDFM Felicitates with Muslims, calls for continued Prayers for Nigeria amidst rising Insecurity
The President and Chairman of Council, Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Management (IBDFM), Dr. Gado Shehu mni, has felicitated with esteemed Muslim Members of the Institute and the entire Muslim Ummah across the globe on the successful completion of the month-long Ramadan fast. Dr. Shehu prayed that the Almighty will accept it as an act of worship (ibadah).
*Citing the recent ugly incident that happened on Monday, 16th March, 2026, where multiple bomb blasts struck Nigeria's Northeastern City of Maiduguri, killing at least 23 precious lives and injuring more than 100 others, Dr. Gado called for intensified prayers for the peace and stability of Nigeria while calling on the Government at both Federal and State levels to do everything possible to ensure the safety of lives and properties across the Country. He prayed that the Almighty Allah forgive the shortcomings of those who lost their lives in the ugly incident and similar ones in other parts of the Country and grant speedy recovery to the injured*

Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Management Celebrates Milestone with 75th MCPD Programme in Lagos
The Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Management reached a significant milestone on Saturday, November 23, 2024, by holding its 75th MCPD at the prestigious Afe Babalola Auditorium, University of Lagos. This landmark event attracted a diverse array of dignitaries, including top-tier fellows from the banking sector, academia, the military, and prominent business moguls, all united in the pursuit of fostering excellence in business diplomacy and financial management.
The MCPD Programme, which serves as a platform for networking and professional development, featured an impressive speaker Dr Yusufu Ishaku who shared his insights on the evolving landscape of business and finance.
A highlight of the event was the induction ceremony of new members into the institute. Many distinguished professionals were welcomed into the fold as fellows, senior members, full members, associates, and graduate members, signifying a growing commitment to personal and professional growth within the sector. YOLA 2024: Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Management Holds 74th MCPD Programme and Induction Ceremony
The Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Management is set to hold its Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (MCPD) Programme alongside an investiture of fellowship and induction of new members this Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the College of Nursing & Midwifery, Yola, starting at 9 a.m.
The MCPD Programme is a prerequisite for the Institute's Executive Chartered Conversion. All certified fellows, senior, full, associate, and graduate members of the Institute in Adamawa State are advised to register and participate to obtain the necessary credit units for the Chartered Conversion.
Notable individuals who have met the Institute's requirements for induction into various professional membership categories include: Prof. Ibrahim Umar, Vice Chancellor of Modibbo Adama University, Yola Dr. Lami Aminu, Provost of College of Nursing and Midwifery, Yola, Dr. Akoshile Olawale Haffis, Medical Director of Meddy Hospitals, Yola.
Others include Musa Abbas Kiri, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Local Government Affairs, Adamawa State; Hussaini Abare Muhammed, Bursar of College of Education, Zing, Taraba State; Muhammad Bakari Tukur, Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Adamawa State on New Media; Abubakar Sa'ad; Buba Nicodemus; and Nuhu Suleiman Muhammed.
The updated and final list of inductees will be released on Tuesday, September 24, after which the printing of the Programme Book will commence. Dr. Sukana D. Tusha, FBDFM Registrar and Secretary to Council, confirmed the arrangements.

IBDFM Inducts New Members, Honors Fellows at 72nd MCPD Programme
The 72nd Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (MCPD) programme of the Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Management (IBDFM) was held on Saturday, 17th August 2024, at the Muhammadu Indimi International Conference Centre, University of Maiduguri. The event was a huge success, with various professionals across different membership grades in attendance.
In his welcome address, delivered virtually, the President and Chairman of Council of the Institute, Dr. Gado Shehu mni, commended old members for their participation and welcomed new members into the Institute.
The programme featured the investiture of fellowship and induction of new members into various membership grades, including Fellows, Senior Members, Full Members, Associate Members, Graduate Members, and Student Members.
Seven professionals were inducted as Fellows of the Institute, including Ibrahim Mohammed Gaddafi, Abubakar Sadiq Mohammed, and Modu Alhaji Mustapha, among others.
Additionally, several professionals were inducted or upgraded to Senior Members, Full Members, Associate Members, and Graduate Members.
The Institute also inducted undergraduate students as Student Members, including Mala Muhammad, Oluwole Temiloluwa Elizabeth, and Oladosu Fatima Omotolani.
The Registrar and Secretary to Council, Dr. Sukana Danjuma Tusha, expressed gratitude to God and everyone who contributed to the success of the programme.
The event marked a significant milestone in the Institute's efforts to promote professional development and excellence in business and financial management.

Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Management Set to Hold 72nd MCPD, Investiture of Fellowship & Induction Ceremony
The Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Management (IBDFM) is set to hold its 72nd Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (MCPD) program, investiture of fellowship, and induction ceremony on Saturday, August 17th, 2024, at the Muhammadu Indimi International Conference Centre, University of Maiduguri.
The program will commence with accreditation of new and old members at 9:00 am, followed by the main event at 10:00 am. Virtual participation is also available via Google Meet for both old and new members.
The institute has announced the list of suitably qualified individuals who have satisfied all the requirements for induction as fellows, senior members, full members, and associate members. These include notable individuals from various fields, such as academia, government, and industry.
The registrar and secretary to the council, Dr. Sukana Danjuma Tusha, FBDFM, has urged all members to attend the ceremony and participate in the MCPD program to be in good standing.

IBDFM's 73rd MCPD Program: Renowned Experts Converge in Yola for Professional Development
The Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Management (IBDFM) is set to host its 73rd Mandatory Continuing Professional Development Program (MCPD) in Yola, Adamawa State, on August 31st, 2024. Associate Professor B. A. Daneji, a well-respected fellow of the Institute from Modibbo Adama University, Yola, will deliver the keynote address on the theme "Corporate Treasury Best Practices."
