CHOOSING A COURSE OF STUDY.
There is no point struggling with your course of study. As a matter of fact, you are supposed to enjoy your course like someone licking honey, if only you can try to get it right from the beginning while making the choice. You were given several courses of study to choose from, but how would you end up struggling with your choice? You can only struggle when you make a wrong choice or you were given a course contrary to your choice. Some students only make choices without reference to any significant determining factor for their choice. They are left unguided; and so lack necessary information and knowledge which would have help them make informed decisions.
Please parents, guardians, counselors, etc let your children and wards know that it is not enough to be a graduate but about value you could add to yourself and any society where you find yourself. Therefore, seek help before you venture into that course now, so that you will not end up seeking help after graduation when it is late to cry.
I was compelled to watch a video clip of an elderly woman who claimed that her time in university studying Law was just a waste as she was never interested in the course. Till today, many students keep going to universities and other tertiary institutions to study "rubbish" and waste their times. What do I mean by rubbish? Any course that you study which you do not like or could neither add value to you nor the society is "rubbish" and waste of time. Some students just go to university only to be called a graduate after 4 or 5 years; and nothing more. Why will you go and waste such number of years in school? I was telling a friend who engaged me on what to consider before choosing a course - passion is one of the prerequisite factors to consider. She asked; what about people who have passion for watching movies? I answered, it is simple - go and study Theatre Arts and likes. Thereafter, you will watch movies tire; not only that, you will become movie producer and possibly produce other movies producer.
Please, don't go to university just because you want to be called a graduate. Life is more than that now. Incase you do not know before; know it now and borrow brain. BE PROPERLY GUIDED BEFORE YOU JUMP INTO THE SHIP CARRYING YOU TO UNIVERSITY OR SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL.
