DON'T DEPEND ON CERTIFICATE
{ Learn a Skill}
Lawrence and Andrew met while working in a large advertising agency. She was an account executive, while Andrew managed the designed group. For 3years, they put in long hours including many weekends developing strategies and campaigns for clients. Lawrence brought in several key accounts, working closely with the clients, who trusted her insight and decision-making. Andrew had talent as a creative director but had some difficulty managing the temperamental team. Their relationship grew, both personally and professionally. They were discussing marriage when the agency hit by the recession, decided to downsize. Andrew told Lawrence that the job loss was not a bad thing. He considered it an opportunity to do what he had always wanted, started his small design firm. Lawrence used her strategic talents to help him with his business plan, six months later, she left the agency to join Andrew giving up a guaranteed salary to take charge of her future.

There are billions of unemployed graduates in our countries especially Nigeria, we currently have over 20million unemployed graduates. They spent millions in school just to be educated, strive to be the best, and graduates with certificates. They think they have done what they are supposed to do to be successful in life. But still suffering after being educated.😔 They entered a 'one chance scenario, as no escaping light is blinking at the end of the tunnel of no return. But they fall into this trap because they lack one thing which is "SKILL".
Dear Graduates and Undergraduates, Stop depending on certificates, learn a Skill.
You see, Education is not about going to school and graduating with certificates. It's not only mean to have learned, or be seen always with dictionary and novels, but Education is to perform justly, skillfully and magnanimously in all office, in peace and war and to change the society we live in. it is the manifestation of life to produce changes in the physical or mental behavior of a person. It is to make a person useful to him or herself and to the society he or she lives in.
We all have the mindset to go to school, get certificates and find a job, but we forget the purpose of education, we have not used the knowledge and experience we have through the certificate to change the environment we live in. we have not lived as a useful and accepted member of the community as a good citizen. It is obvious that there are many educated illiterates, these days as such education received, which is either formally or informal but it does not lead to a positive change in their character. A man may not know a lot of religious doctrines without developing religious sense, and common is an economist who does not have financial discipline. In Africa, a well-educated and well-integrated citizen is a man who combines good character with a specific skill. Don't see education as the accumulation of Certificates look beyond the certificates and used the experience to develop yourself to live a successful life. Learn a skill that will make you a boss. Be like Andrew and Lawrence, they chose not to wait for things to come to them but instead navigated the path to their desired futures.
