What a beautiful celebration of legacy, excellence, culture, and community.
On Friday, 8th May, the Day Waterman College family came together to celebrate Founders’ Day, a remarkable occasion honouring the vision, values, and lasting impact of our founder.

The event opened with an inspiring address by our Principal, Mr Kamal, who reminded students and guests of the importance of purpose, leadership, and service. Guests were also taken through an emotional historical video presentation reflecting on the founder’s life and legacy, alongside heartfelt student testimonies.

From the moving stage play Ubuntu (I Live Because You Do) inspired by the life and legacy of Dora Akunyili, former Minister of Information and Director-General of NAFDAC, to the breathtaking orchestral performances, musical presentations, cultural displays, and joyful student celebrations, every moment reflected the spirit of Day Waterman College: excellence with humanity.

One of the highlights of the day was seeing our students elegantly dressed in beautifully styled outfits inspired by the event’s theme, showcasing creativity, confidence, and unity.

We are deeply grateful to the parents, staff, students, alumni, and distinguished guests who travelled from far and near to celebrate with us.

Here’s to preserving legacy, nurturing greatness, and building a future worth remembering.

🌍🎙️ DWC Model United Nations Workshop 🎙️🌍
Day Waterman College is delighted to host a special Model United Nations (MUN) Workshop titled Understanding the Rules of Procedure in Model United Nations for our Year 9 and Year 10 students.
This workshop is designed to give students a strong foundation in parliamentary procedure, committee protocols, debating structure, motions, points, and the general conduct of MUN conferences. Participants will also develop valuable skills in diplomacy, public speaking, negotiation, research, and resolution writing.

📌 Year 10 students will be preparing for the External MUN Conference
It promises to be an engaging and enriching experience that will build confidence, leadership, and global awareness as students take the next step in their MUN journey. 🌟

🎖️✨ Third Term Begins with School Prefects Investiture Ceremony ✨🎖️
The Third Term at Day Waterman College commenced on a high note with the School Prefects Investiture Ceremony, held on Sunday, April 19th, 2026.
This special occasion marked the formal inauguration of our newly appointed student leaders, who have been entrusted with the responsibility of serving as role models and upholding the values of excellence, discipline, and integrity within the DWC community. 🌟
As they step into positions of leadership, we celebrate their achievements and charge them to lead with wisdom, humility, and dedication. We are confident they will inspire positive change and make a lasting impact.

Culinary creativity came alive at the Boarding Houses of Day Waterman College!

The BH Cookoff competition was an opportunity to reiterate and teach students about lifelong soft skills - teamwork, gratitude, hard work, empathy, agility, problem solving, critical thinking, and intellectual playfulness, linking these skills to delicious cuisines- both national and intercontinental dishes.
