EID-AL-ADHA: MAPALUM CELEBRATES WITH MUSLIM ALUMNI, CALLS FOR COMPASSION, SACRIFICE, AND RENEWED COMMUNITY SPIRIT
The Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Alumni Association (MAPALUM) warmly congratulates its Muslim members and the entire Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid-al-Adha, a celebration deeply rooted in sacrifice, obedience, and selflessness.
Speaking on behalf of the association, the National President, Alhaji Ayinde Soaga, urged alumni to reflect on the values that define this sacred season and to extend the virtues of compassion, generosity, and shared responsibility in their families, workplaces, and communities.
“Eid-al-Adha is a profound reminder that the strength of any community lies in our willingness to give, to serve, and to stand together in love and sacrifice. As proud MAPOLY alumni, let us translate the lessons of this season into positive action in our society,” the President said.
MAPALUM calls on all alumni to imbibe the spirit of compassion, giving, and mutual support, especially during this festive period. Members are encouraged to reach out to the needy, foster goodwill, and promote unity across all chapters and regions.
The association also urges all members to celebrate peacefully, stay law-abiding, and uphold the values of empathy, humility, and purpose-driven leadership that have long been associated with the MAPOLY identity.
“Let this season ignite in us a renewed commitment to nation-building, service, and meaningful alumni engagement,” the statement added.
MAPALUM remains steadfast in its mission to strengthen alumni networks, support alma mater development, and serve as a beacon of social impact through its global community of professionals.

MAPOLY TO HOLD 15TH COMBINED CONVOCATION CEREMONY ON JUNE 24, 2025
The authorities of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, have announced that the institution’s 15th Combined Convocation Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. The ceremony will feature the award of National and Higher National Diplomas to deserving students who graduated between the 2015/2016 and 2023/2024 academic sessions.
The Convocation Lecture, titled "*_Diaspora Perspective and the Influence of STEM in the Globalized World of Today_*," will be delivered by Hon. (Dr.) Abike Dabiri-Erewa, OON, Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), at the Otunba Gbenga Daniel (OGD) Auditorium of the Polytechnic by 11:00 am. prompt.
Other events lined up to commemorate the ceremony include the Presentation of Prizes to Outstanding Students, Conferment of Fellowship Honours and Awards to Notable Personalities, Exhibitions, Distinguished Alumni Award Night, a Special Jum’at Service, and a Thanksgiving Service.
His Excellency, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun, CON, Governor of Ogun State and Moderator of the Polytechnic, will grace the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour. The Rector, Arc. Dr. 'Koye Jolaoso will welcome dignitaries on behalf of the Governing Council as the Chief Host.
