JAMB Introduced New Method For 2017/2018 Admission Process.The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board JAMB has stated that it has established new method of admission in line with its mandate to ensure fairness irrespective of tribe and religion and it is determined to meet the expectations of Nigerians.

According to the JAMB public relations officer, Dr Fabian Benjamin who made this known, the Board had held consultations with universities across the country to enable candidates meet the requirement and secure admission without the assistance of anybody.
“The Prof. Oloyede led management is working to ensure transparent, acceptable and fair admission process.
“We have designed software known as Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS), where human interference will be completely removed, to promote credibility.
“The admission criteria would be keyed into the software and it will select candidates blindly according to the institutions requirement without any primordial consideration.” He stated.
He equally mentioned that the official cut-off marks have not been arrived at as this can only be done at a policy meeting, which is at the moment yet to be conveyed.
He further stated that the policy meeting would commence the 2017 admission with all mode, process and acceptable conditions for admission.

These facts are before us today. No need for sentiments. The future is racing towards us even faster. Are we not going to have more prisons than schools. We build more churches and mosques but lawlessness still soar. For more of the youths we should depend on tomorrow might end up being the followers. We see them hanging around corners discoursing events and people but never ideas. We see them walking on the streets talking and texting but never in their rooms thinking or meditating. We see them hunting everywhere for jobs without the expertise to keep one. They have all the certificates but not a vision. They travel places but no destination. They want to be somebody but no personal goals penned down. Little wonder they can blow up their lives or trouble that of others. For a man without a mission is someone else's vision. Let's build a forum that educates the youths on life and not just academics. Lets give each that passion to defend us and not one to destroy us tomorrow. A reason to think and not just act. The bravery to stand out and not just follow. A reason to live and not just being alive. September 1st, the beginning of the last quarter. A time to also plant a vision in the next generation---- Our Youths! Our future!

2016/2017 POST-UTME SCREENING EXERCISE
The University of Ilorin online registration for the Screening Exercise for Admission into ALL COURSES/PROGRAMMES for the 2016/2017 Academic Year is now in progress.
ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES:
Candidates who made University of Ilorin their first choice in the 2016 UTME are eligible for the screening. In addition, candidates must possess five (5) credit passes at one sitting in relevant O/level subjects including English Language and Mathematics.

Candidates, who will not be sixteen (16) years of age by 31st October, 2016 are not eligible and need not apply.

Candidates who are awaiting results are also eligible to apply for the screening. Such candidates will be allowed to upload their results when they are released only if they applied within the specified period. Candidates are advised to check the University website for the specified period.

Note: Candidates will be required to upload their O'level results to complete the application.
