SHE REJECTED 285… NOW SHE’S HOLDING 184
A Nigerian lady, Victor Blessing Eboselumen, shared her UTME 2026 result: 52 in English, 44 in Physics, 50 in Biology, 38 in Chemistry (total: 184)
Interestingly, she had scored 285 in the previous year and was already offered admission , but she declined it because the course wasn’t what she wanted.
This time, her result didn’t reflect what she expected, and she believes her performance should have been higher based on what she wrote in the exam hall.
Some of you might say:Maybe the course she was offered last year was not good.
Or It’s better to try again than settle.
And yes ,that thinking is understandable.
But here is where many students miss it
THE REAL ISSUE IS NOT ALWAYS “WRONG COURSE
Many students don’t lose, admission because they don’t have good scores.
They lose it because:
They choose schools their score cannot realistically secure
They don’t understand how Post-UTME works
They assume every course or school will adjust for them
So they reject opportunities thinking another attempt will be better…
But the next attempt doesn’t always come better.
WHAT MOST JAMBITES DON’T REALIZE
A score is not just about “how well you performed
It is also about “how well you position it
Two students can have similar scores, but:One gets admission
One waits another year
The difference is not luck…
It is strategy and school choice.
THIS IS WHY AFTER JAMB WHAT NEXT MATTERS Don't miss the Conference
After your score comes real decisions:
✔ Where can this score actually work?
✔ Which schools accept it realistically?
✔ What course combinations increase your chances?
✔ How do you use Post-UTME wisely?
Sometimes it’s not about writing again…It’s about knowing how not to waste the score you already have.
