The Association of Mass Communication Students (AMACOS), through the office of the Welfare Director, Comr. Sandra Opamoye, successfully hosted an inspiring and impactful programme themed “Flow With Confidence.”

It was a moment of empowerment, self-expression, motivation, and confidence building as students were encouraged to embrace themselves boldly and proudly.

A big appreciation to everyone who attended, participated, and made the programme a success. The confidence, energy, and positive vibes were truly unmatched! 💕🔥

RECTOR UNVEILS PROJECT AS AMACOS 95/98 DONATES STUDIO EQUIPMENT TO MASS COMMUNICATION DEPARTMENT

Yesterday, the Association of Mass Communication Students (AMACOS) 1995/1998 set donated modern studio equipment to the Mass Communication Department of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, enhancing practical learning facilities for students.

The items donated include computer systems, projector, a conference table, chairs, a smart television, and other broadcast and advertising studio gadgets aimed at strengthening hands on training and professional development within the department.

The project was formally unveiled by the Rector, Arc Dr. Babatunde Adekoyejo Jolaoso, alongside senior staff and members of the Mass Communication Department. During the unveiling, the Rector, Babatunde Adekoyejo Jolaoso, described the gesture as a great honor, commending the alumni for giving back to an institution that shaped their academic journey. He offered prayers for continued success and wellbeing in their endeavors.

The Head of Department, Wasiu Olawale Tejuoso, in his welcome address highlighted the importance of functional studio facilities in equipping students and media practitioners with industry relevant skills.

The president 95/98 alumni set, Mr. Festus Olusegun Sopekan noted that the initiative reflects a commitment to giving back to their alma mater and supporting students in gaining practical experience essential for their careers.

The association expressed appreciation that the achievement aligns with the leadership tenure of Comrade Adedayo Abayomi Onifade (Hadex), under whose regime the project was realized.

Gratitude was also extended to the Association of Mass Communication Graduates (AMACOG) for their support in reshaping the department into a more conducive learning environment.

AMACOS 1994–1999 SET MARKS 30 YEARS OF FRIENDSHIP, GIVES BACK TO MASS COMMUNICATION DEPARTMENT

The Association of Mass Communication Students (AMACOS), Class of 1994-1999, proudly celebrates 30 years of enduring friendship and remarkable impact. To mark this milestone, the alumni returned to the department that shaped their careers and lives, with the event aptly named "Sharing Happiness."

The AMACOS 1994-1999 set was graciously welcomed yesterday by the current Head of Department (HOD), Dr. Wasiu Olawale Tejuoso, at his office. The gathering was more than just a reunion, it was an opportunity for the alumni to give back to the department that played a pivotal role in their academic and professional journeys.

The President of the AMACOS 1994-1999 set shared inspiring experiences gathered over the years, emphasizing the value of gratitude and the role of education in shaping their lives. The event was a heartwarming tribute to their alma mater.

As a gesture of their appreciation, the alumni made a generous donation of one million Naira to the Department of Mass Communication. This donation is aimed at enhancing the department’s resources, with a special focus on upgrading the Advertising Room for practical learning. The group also expressed their admiration for the developments within the department, including the newly renovated Newsroom by the AMACOS 1995 set.

In addition to supporting their department, the alumni paid a visit to the Polytechnic Rector, offering their heartfelt congratulations on his first year of leadership. As part of their commitment to the school community, the AMACOS 1994-1999 set also donated 25,000 Naira to the non-teaching staff, including cleaners, gardeners, and security personnel, as a token of gratitude for their role in maintaining a conducive, secure, and efficient learning environment.
