Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has reportedly confirmed that Seria A best defender last season Marco Palestra could be available for selection ahead of Sunday’s London derby at the Emirates. 👀

After missing the opening Premier League games through injury, Palestra is finally back and available for selection.

And what a time to return.

His pace, 1v1 ability and aggression could be extremely important against Arsenal, especially when Chelsea need to defend transitions and attack the space behind their full-backs.

Alonso has fined players before at previous clubs and said when asked how he will respond to reds at Chelsea: 'It depends on the context. You can have a red card. It's football. It can happen. There is always a context for everything but I don't have written rules for this kind of thing.
