💭GIVE THEM PROBLEMS
WORTH THINKING ABOUT🧠

Give them challenges such as:
“How can we reduce waste at home?”
“How can we organise this better?”
“How could we help a younger student understand this topic?”
“How could we improve this everyday object?”
Real problems make learning feel useful.
And useful learning often creates deeper thinking.

Give a child one real-life problem to solve this weekend.

📗DON'T JUST PUSH THEM.
TEACH THEM HOW TO MOVE FORWARD.
Instead of:
“You must come first.”
Try asking:
“What is your goal?”
“What is making it difficult?”
“What can we improve this week?”
Children need expectations.
But they also need someone to help them understand how to reach those expectations.

Replace one pressure-filled conversation with a guidance-filled conversation this week.

🎚️CELEBRATE PROGRESS.
NOT ONLY PERFECTION.

A teenager who keeps trying after failing has made progress.
Not every victory appears at the top of a result sheet.
Notice the small wins.
Encouragement can help children see that growth is possible.

Today, tell a child one specific thing you have noticed them improving at.

🚨DON'T LABEL THE CHILD.
UNDERSTAND THE STRUGGLE.

Difficulty understanding the teaching method
Simply needing more practice
Instead of quickly saying:
“You are not good at this.”
Try:
“Let's find out where you're getting stuck.”
The second response opens a door.

Don't label the struggle. Investigate it.

🎚️LOOK BEYOND THE SCORE.
THERE'S A CHILD BEHIND IT.

Discovering a strength
Learning how to learn
Parents and teachers should look beyond the number.

This week, ask a child about their learning—not just their score.

🧰DON’T RAISE CHILDREN WHO FEAR
NOT KNOWING.
RAISE LEARNERS WHO KNOW HOW TO LEARN.

“How can I learn it?”
That mindset matters in school.
It matters in work.
It matters in entrepreneurship.
It matters in life.
Let's raise children who are curious enough to learn, brave enough to try, flexible enough to adapt and generous enough to create value.

What is one skill you want your child or student to develop before the end of this year?
