The Ebonyi State Hatchery, Nkaliki, is ready to receive layers and broiler chickens. The governor Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuruhave inspected the upgrade and installation of the poultry cages by the State Ministry of Agriculture.

Consequently, we have approved funds for the raising of 15,000 old layer chickens for the production of eggs and 20,400 broilers. We are confident that this will go a long way in kickstarting the revival of the Industry, while we anticipate the introduction of fishery and piggery farm in the hatchery.

The 100 Ebonyian that was sent to Enugu state two months ago through Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru Empowerment scheme to acquire skills are back now,and have received !llion each to establish what they learned.
