Governor’s Aide, Sunday Usikhifo, Empowers Traders Across Akwa Ibom with Wheelbarrows, Aprons, and Cash Support

In a remarkable show of commitment to grassroots empowerment, Sunday Usikhifo, Aide to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, on Sunday distributed 150 wheelbarrows, aprons, and cash gifts to traders across the state.

The items were shared across major markets in the three senatorial districts, reflecting his determination to complement the ARISE Agenda of His Excellency, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, Ph.D.

Speaking during the exercise, Usikhifo explained that the initiative was designed to strengthen small-scale trading activities, empower hardworking men and women, and promote the Governor’s vision of inclusive growth and sustainable development in Akwa Ibom.

This intervention is yet another example of how leadership at every level can make life better for ordinary people, one step at a time.

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has fulfilled his promise by approving the payment of a ₦20,000 monthly allowance to National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members of Akwa Ibom origin serving across the 36 states of the federation and the FCT, Abuja.

This allowance comes in addition to the ₦77,000 monthly stipend already provided by the Federal Government to all serving corps members.

In a further show of inclusiveness, Governor Eno has also extended the ₦20,000 support to non-indigenes currently serving their NYSC year in Akwa Ibom State.

This bold step underscores the Governor’s commitment to youth empowerment, welfare, and building a stronger future for the next generation.
