Good morning comrades,

Following the decisions and adoption of resolutions reached at the last osco old boys general meeting held on the 18th of September 2021 and in view of the scheduled EXCO general election also scheduled for 20th of November 2021, the electoral committee informs all members thus;

(1) That forms for intending aspirants is out for collection.

(2) That the sale of the forms will be readily available for purchase through the committee at luxury city hotels on Wednesday 29th September by 4pm.

(3) That all intending aspirants are to pick their nomination forms at the agreed sum, that is;
(a) Chairman- #20,000
(b) vice- #10,000
(c) other positions- #5000

(4) Please note that sale of these forms will run for a stipulated 2 (two) weeks duration only.

DATE: SATURDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER 2021.

(a) UNVEILING AND SALE OF NOMINATION FORMS FOR THE UPCOMING EXECUTIVE ELECTIONS.

(c) COMPOSITION OF ADHOC COMMITTEE FOR THIS YEAR'S END OF YEAR GET TOGETHER.

AT OUR LAST GENERAL MEETING, THE ELECTORAL COMMITTEE PRESENTED THEIR REPORT FOR CONSIDERATION TO THE ASSOCIATION. THEIR REPORT WHICH CENTERED ON PROPOSED MODALITIES FOR CONDUCT OF THE UPCOMING ELECTION WAS RECEIVED BY MEMBERS WITH A RESOLUTION THAT THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES WILL GIVE A FINAL RATIFICATION ON THEIR RECOMMENDATIONS.

ALSO TO NOTE IS THE OVERWHELMING ADOPTION OF MEMBERS FOR A REVIEW OF A SECTION OF OUR BYE-LAWS WHICH HAS TO DO WITH WELFARE PACKAGES FOR MEMBERS. THIS WAS ALSO GIVEN A FAVORABLE CONSIDERATION BY THE BOT FOR POSSIBLE INCLUSION DURING THE REVIEW OF OUR CONSTITUTION.

ALSO TO NOTE IS THE FURTHER ACCEPTANCE OF THE 1986 SET TO HOST THIS MONTHS GENERAL MEETING. THEY HAD HOSTED THE MEETING IN JULY.

THEIR LEADER AND CEO EZESCO COMPUTERS, HON CHIEF EZEKIEL CHUKWUKERE( OGBUHURU UZO 1 OF AMAIGBO) THANKED MEMBERS FOR THEIR PASSION AND ZEAL IN SUSTAINING THE VISIONS OF OUR FOUNDING MEMBERS TO SEE TO THE GROWTH OF THE ASSOCIATION.

WORTHY OF NOTE IS A SUGGESTION FROM MR CHARLY NWOZUZU A 1990 SET OLD BOY FOR ADOPTION OF ZOOM MEETING SO THAT OLD BOYS IN DIASPORA CAN PARTICIPATE IN OUR MEETINGS ONLINE.

TO THIS, HON CHIEF EZEKIEL CHUKWUKERE PROMISED TO COME TO THIS MONTHS GENERAL MEETING WITH A PROJECTOR WITH FULL INTERNET FACILITY TO AID IN THE SUGGESTED ZOOMING OF OUR MEETINGS.

The osco general meeting held on Saturday 17th of July 2021 @ luxury city hotels Aba commenced with an opening prayers performed by Rev. Reginald Ubochi an Anglican priest and a 1986 set old boy.

The chairman welcomed all in attendance while the kola nuts were served.

The first matter on our agenda was the inauguration of the constitution review committee headed by Bar Morris Eleri a senior lawyer in our midst and a 1982 osco old boy. Other members include Kalu Idika Kalu (1987 set) and Ikechi Nkoro (2004) set.

The members pledged to ensure that right tenets were enshrined as provisions in the new constitution.
The association chairman thereafter implored members to send in memoranda for consideration through our platform or to through the committee chairman.

The next on the agenda for consideration was the much publicized end of tenure for the present executive.

The chairman reiterated the need to set up an electoral committee to be saddled with the responsibility of conducting a most peaceful and transparent election.

To this, the house unanimously approved the nomination of the following as committee members.

They are:

Mr Innocent Iheonunekwu (Abana)
a 1983 set old boy and football veteran who captained the team that gave osco their first football competition trophy. He was the games prefect then.

Others include Mr Rasaki Yusuf ( a former deputy senior prefect in 1986)
And Mr Benjamin Nwoko (Tarpaulin) of 1987 set.

They were mandated to ensure strict adherence to constitutional provisions on our electoral matters. This include ensuring that financial up to date members are given full encouragement to participate.
They were also mandated to release adequate publicity to sensitize our members on their program of events.

Responding, the chairman of the committee Mr Innocent Iheonunekwu pledged on behalf of his members to ensure that right candidates emerge victorious to further pilot the affairs of the old boys.
