The Word of Faith Group of Schools grew out of a vision from God. Idahosa many years ago. It was made vividly to her that there was a great need to establish an institution where children can be spurred academically, trained spiritually and given freedom to express themselves creatively. The God of the vision made the provision by the instrumentality of Archbishop, Most Rev. Idahosa. His determina

tion, total commitment and massive financial support translated the vision into reality, and a cynosure for all eyes.

*THE LORD’S ARROW OF VICTORY*

*2Kings 13:15-17 (NLT)*
_Elisha told him, “Get a bow and some arrows.” And the king did as he was told. Elisha told him, “Put your hand on the bow,” and Elisha laid his own hands on the king’s hands. Then he commanded, “Open that eastern window,” and he opened it. Then he said, “Shoot!” So he shot an arrow. Elisha proclaimed, “This is the Lord’s arrow, an arrow of victory…._

Right before his death, the king of Israel visited Elisha, and Elisha told him to put an arrow in a bow, draw it, and point it out the window. Elisha placed his hands on the king's hands and told him to shoot the arrow. Elisha then said to him, “This is the Lord’s arrow of victory.”

What Elisha did was a prophetic illustration of your reality as a child of God. In whatever your hands find to do, God wants you to know that His hand is upon your hands. Because of this, what you are engaged in is no longer ordinary. It now carries God’s unction and victory. It shall not fail.

The Lord will strengthen you, and He will teach you how to overcome your challenges and battles (Psa. 144:1). The Lord will lighten your candle and enlighten your darkness. By Him you will run through troops and leap over walls (Psa. 18:28-29).

You are not alone, and you are not hopeless. God is with you, and your victory is sure. As you remain conscious that the hand of the Lord is upon you, the Lord will guide you on how you should go about what you are doing, and the Lord will use what you are engaged in as a tool to advance His kingdom.

*Prayer:*
Father, I thank you that your hand is upon me and upon all I am engaged in. I receive your direction, strength, and victory.

*THE JOYS AND REWARDS OF ADVANCING GOD’S KINGDOM*

*Matthew 25:21 (NKJV), Revelation 22:12-13 (NIV)*
_His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ *“Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End._

There is nothing like the privilege of causing great joy in heaven (Luke 15:10). There is nothing like the joy of hearing God say to you, “Well done for being good and faithful in your service to Me.” There is nothing as good as knowing that while on earth, you yielded yourself to God’s Spirit, fulfilled God’s purpose, and brought so much joy to God’s heart.

After Jesus humbled Himself and fulfilled God’s will by dying on the Cross, He was promoted (Phil. 2:8-9). As we remain faithful in advancing God’s kingdom, God will continue to promote and elevate us, both now and in eternity. When the master in our first text above returned, He promoted and increased the responsibilities of those who were faithful in using what they were given to carry out His will.

When Christ returns, we shall receive rewards for our service in preaching the Gospel and advancing God’s kingdom on earth (1Cor. 3:13-14). We shall receive the crown of life for enduring trials and tests of our faith (James 1:12). The crown of glory for faithfully serving and feeding God’s flock (1Pet. 5:2-4). The crown of rejoicing for winning souls (1Thes. 2:19), the crown of righteousness for looking forward to Christ’s return and living uprightly (2Tim. 4:7-8), and an incorruptible crown for living disciplined and self-controlled lives (1Cor.9:25).

*Prayer:*
Father, I desire to fulfill your purpose on earth and bring so much joy to your heart. Use me to advance your kingdom on earth.

*PRAY FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF GOD'S KINGDOM*

*COLOSSIANS 1:9 (GNB), MATTHEW 6:10 (GNB), PHILEMON 1:4 (GNB)*
_*For this reason we have always prayed for you, ever since we heard about you. We ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will, with all the wisdom and understanding that his Spirit gives. _may your Kingdom come; may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. _Brother Philemon, every time I pray, I mention you and give thanks to my God._

Prayer is a major way we partner with God in advancing His kingdom on earth. Pray for the spread of the Gospel (Luke 10:2, 2 Thess. 3:1, Col. 4:2-3). Pray for the salvation of all men and for those in authority (1 Tim. 2:1-4). Pray that those who are being saved will be properly discipled and rooted in Christ. Pray for God's will to be done and for His kingdom to prevail in various nations and spheres of influence in society. Pray for the Church, fellow believers, and ministers of the Gospel. Jesus prayed for Peter's faith to be preserved despite the trial he would face (Luke 22:31-32). Pray for the hearts of believers to be enlightened with their realities in Christ and the love of God (Eph. 1:15-20, Eph. 3:14-19). Like Epaphras, pray fervently for fellow believers to stand perfect and complete in all the will of God for their lives (Col. 4:12). Pray in the Spirit (Eph. 6:18-19).

When God revealed His will to Daniel and Elijah regarding specific situations, they prayed fervently about it until it came to pass (Dan. 9:1-3; 1 Kings 18:1, 41-45, James 5:17-18). The Holy Spirit will strengthen and direct you as you pray. Remember to always pray in faith and with thanksgiving, for this is God's will for you (Phil. 4:6; 1 Thess. 5:18).

*PRAYER:*
PRAY FERVENTLY FOR THE SPREAD OF THE GOSPEL AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF GOD'S WILL ON EARTH AS YOU ARE LED BY THE SPIRIT.

*HOW IS YOUR PASSION FOR ADVANCING GOD'S KINGDOM?*

*JOHN 4:34 (AMPC), JOHN 9:3-5 (NIV)*
_My food (nourishment) is to do the will (pleasure) of Him Who sent Me and to accomplish and completely finish His work. _'Neither this man nor his parents sinned,' said Jesus, 'but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.'"_

There will be many times when doing the will of God (preaching the Gospel, overcoming sin, serving in God’s house, walking in love, yielding to the Spirit, and remaining diligent) will not be convenient. But it is in those times that we prove how passionate we are for advancing God’s kingdom. In Gethsemane, Jesus said, _"not my will but your will be done, O God"_ (Luke 22:42). You are God’s workmanship.

If you refuse to arise, shine, and make an impact by doing God’s will, darkness (the devil’s will) will continue to prevail on the earth (in various lives, nations, and spheres of influence in society).

Stop living for yourself because your life no longer belongs to you _(2Cor. 5:14-15, Rom. 12:1)_. Like the mighty men of David, be willing to risk your life and do all it takes to carry out the desires in the heart of God your Father _(2Sam. 23:15-17)_. Like David, be a man/woman after God’s heart who is sold out to doing God’s will _(Acts 13:22)_. Like Jesus, let your greatest joy and satisfaction come from doing the will of God and advancing His kingdom. Apostle Paul said, _"But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God"_ _(Acts 20:24, NLT)_. Have this mindset.

*PRAYER:*
I SURRENDER MYSELF TO YOU, DEAR FATHER. USE ME TO DO YOUR WILL AND ADVANCE YOUR KINGDOM. I AM AVAILABLE TO YOU.

*THE CHURCH, THE GOSPEL, AND GOD'S KINGDOM*

*MATTHEW 16:16-19 (NKJV)*
_Simon Peter answered... "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Jesus answered..., "Blessed are you, Simon... for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven..."_

The Church is God's greatest kingdom-advancement agency on earth. Jesus said, "Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You have prepared for Me.......To do Your will, O God." (Heb. 10:5, 7). Right now, the Church is Christ's Body, doing God's will on the earth (John 20:21). We are His flesh and bones (Eph. 5:30).

The greatest thing happening on earth right now is what God is doing in His Church. Christ is building us (His Church). Christ is being revealed and formed in us, and we are growing into His fullness. We are receiving divine empowerment to advance and bring others into God's kingdom. The only way the Church can be truly built up so that the gates of hell will not prevail against us is by the teaching of the revelation of Christ. That is the rock Jesus was telling Peter about in our text above. This is the only way we will not be tossed to and fro by various deceptive winds of false doctrines (Eph. 4:11-15).

God wants you to increase your love for the Church, and play your part in the building of the Body of Christ (Eph. 4:16). When we arise and play our part in the Body of Christ, instead of causing gaps and divisions, the Gospel will increase, and there will be a multiplication in the number of disciples of Christ in our nations (Acts 6:1-7).

*PRAYER:*
FATHER, I THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT WORK YOU ARE DOING IN YOUR CHURCH. HELP ME TO KEEP PLAYING MY PART. BUILD US AND USE US MORE.

‎*THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM*

*‎Matthew 4:23 (AMPC), Matthew 24:14 (AMPC)*
_‎"And He went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news (Gospel) of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every weakness and infirmity among the people.*And this good news of the kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end."_

‎The Gospel of the kingdom is the Gospel of Christ (Acts 8:12, Acts 20:24-25, Acts 28:23, 31). As we preach the Gospel of Christ, people are saved and receive the life of God, enabling them to experience the fullness of God’s kingdom and will for their lives. We see this clearly in the story of Cornelius the Centurion. Though he was a good, upright, and prayerful man, an angel appeared to him in a vision and told him to send for Peter. Peter needed to come and preach the Gospel of Christ to Cornelius and his household so they would be saved and filled with the Spirit of God (Acts 10:1-6, 42-44).

‎Jesus said we should go into ‘all the world’ to preach the Gospel and make disciples for Him (Matt. 28:18-20). He has empowered us with His Spirit to do this (Acts 1:8). "All the world" does not only mean every country and nation, but also every field and sphere of influence in society. Do not be ashamed of preaching the Gospel of Christ because it is God’s power to save and intervene in the lives of men (Rom. 1:16).

‎Preach and demonstrate the Gospel of the kingdom. Manifest God’s life and power (1Cor. 4:20, 1Thes. 1:5). Pray for all men, especially those in authority, so they will be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (1Tim. 2:1-4).

‎PRAYER :
‎Father, I thank you for empowering me to preach the Gospel. Use me and other believers to preach the Gospel in our environment.

*ADVANCING THE KINGDOM OF GOD (2)*

*GENESIS 39:11-12 (NIV), GENESIS 41:56-57 (NIV)*
_One day he went into the house to attend to his duties, and none of the household servants was inside. She caught him by his cloak and said, "Come to bed with me!" But he left his cloak in her hand and ran out of the house. *Joseph opened all the storehouses and sold grain to the Egyptians, ...And all the world came to Egypt to buy grain from Joseph, because the famine was severe everywhere._

Joseph advanced God's kingdom by overcoming sin, yielding to God's Spirit, and doing God's will. Despite the harsh conditions and hostilities he faced, he remained diligent in his work and service to God, and he refused to be offended. When he was running away from the temptation from Potiphar's wife, he was running towards the plan God had to take him to the palace. Staying away from sin makes us available for God to use us to do His will and to advance His kingdom (2Tim. 2:21).

Through Joseph, the will of God prevailed in Potiphar's house, in the prison, in the palace, and on the earth. God sent Joseph to Egypt to preserve and save the world from famine, so that the life of the Israelites would be preserved and Christ could come through their lineage (Psa. 105:16-24, Gen. 50:20).

Preaching the Gospel is the highest way we advance God's kingdom, and in addition to this, every time we yield to the Spirit to overcome sin, walk in love, be diligent, and serve in God's house, we are also doing God's will and advancing His kingdom. David served God's purpose in his generation (Acts 13:36, ESV). God is still looking for people who will yield to His leading and stand in the gap to do His will in their environment and generation (Ezek. 22:30, Isa 58:12).

*PRAYER:*
FATHER LORD, MY LIFE IS AVAILABLE TO YOU. USE ME TO DO YOUR WILL AND ADVANCE YOUR KINGDOM IN MY ENVIRONMENT AND GENERATION, AMEN

*ADVANCING THE KINGDOM OF GOD (1)*

*MATTHEW 6:10 (NIV), LUKE 11:19-20 (NIV), ROMANS 14:17 (NIV)*
_Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. *Now if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your followers drive them out?*So then, they will be your judges. But if I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. *For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit_

Every time the will of God is being done on the earth, the kingdom of God is advancing. Each time you preach the Gospel and manifest God’s power, you are advancing the kingdom of God. As people believe the Gospel, they are saved and enter God’s kingdom. God can then begin to fully influence them with His life and use them to influence others and the systems of this world. As we manifest the power of God, we push back the works of the devil and set people free from his bo***ge (Acts 10:38). This is why Jesus has sent us to preach the Gospel, manifest His power, and disciple others (Mark 16:15, Matt. 28:18-20).

When you are serving in God’s house, you are advancing the kingdom of God. The church is God’s greatest kingdom advancement agent on the earth (Eph. 4: 11-16).

Every time you overcome sin, you are advancing the kingdom of God. You are operating like God, you are allowing the life of God in you to prevail on the earth, and you are bringing glory to the name of God. Every time you yield to the Spirit and do God’s will, you are advancing the kingdom of God.

*PRAYER:*
Father, use me to advance your kingdom on the earth. Help me to preach the Gospel, overcome sin, and always do your will.

*RECEIVING THE KINGDOM OF GOD*

*MARK 10:15-16 (TPT)*
_...Jesus ...became indignant with his disciples and said to them, "Let all the little children come to me and never hinder them! Don't you know that God's kingdom realm exists for such as these? Listen to the truth I speak: Whoever does not open their arms to receive God's kingdom like a teachable child will never enter it." Then he embraced each child, and laying his hands on them, he lovingly blessed each one._

After entering the kingdom of God, the next most important thing is receiving the kingdom of God. We do this by learning the will and the ways of God and being established in the life of Christ. Jesus wants us to sit at His feet and learn of Him (Luke 10:38-42, Matt. 11:29). We enter the kingdom by hearing the Gospel, and we also receive the kingdom by hearing the Gospel. As we receive the kingdom, we grow spiritually and become more like Christ. The life, will, and ways of God prevail more over us. Receiving the kingdom is the whole essence of discipleship. The more we learn Christ, the more we will deny ourselves, take up our Cross and follow Him (Luke 9:23). The Holy Spirit will operate more in us (Rom. 14:17).

For us to receive the kingdom, we must have the attitude of a little child. We must be very teachable and eager to learn Christ. Our attitude towards learning Christ determines the impact the revelation of Christ has in our lives (1 Pet. 2:1-2, James 1:21-25). Like Apostle Paul, we must esteem and desire the knowledge of Christ above everything else (Phil. 3:8, 10-14). We must keep pressing into His fullness. The more we receive the kingdom, the more we will grow and manifest the life of Christ, and be empowered to advance the kingdom of God.

*PRAYER:*
FATHER, I DESIRE TO KNOW CHRIST AND BE ESTABLISHED IN YOUR LIFE, YOUR WILL AND YOUR WAYS, AMEN.

*ENTERING THE KINGDOM OF GOD*

*JOHN 3:3,5-6 (NIV)*
_Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”…“Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.*I assure you that John the Baptist is greater than anyone who has ever lived. But the one who is least in the Kingdom of heaven is greater than John._

The kingdom of God refers to the realm in which God operates. This is what Jesus refers to in our texts above. When we believe the Gospel and put our faith in Jesus, by the Spirit of God, we are born into God’s realm, and we can now live and operate as God does. The least believer in the kingdom of God is greater than John the Baptist and every other person who lived before him. They didn’t have God’s life and were not born into the kingdom because Jesus had not yet died on the Cross.

As a believer in God’s kingdom, you have been delivered from the devil’s power and dominion (Col. 1:13). We all are now seated in Christ in heavenly places, far above principalities and powers (Eph. 2:5-6, Eph. 1:19-23). We are now far higher in rank than the Devil and all principalities and powers. Jesus is the head of all principalities and powers, and we share in His dominion over them (Col. 2:9-10). The kingdom of God also refers to the will and the ways of God. God’s kingdom comes (prevails and advances) every time the will of God is being done, and His ways are being practiced (Matt. 6:10). God wants His kingdom to advance on the earth by prevailing over the lives of people and over various systems of the world. This is why Jesus came, and this is why God has sent us into the world just as He sent Jesus.

*PRAYER:*
Father, I thank you for giving me your life and enabling me to operate in your realm. Use me to spread and advance your kingdom.
