In view of this Season, let's Reflect today on:
Gen.2:17 "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shall not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."
The covenant that God had with Adam could be referred to as the Covenant of Work. It wasn't an unconditional covenant but a conditional one, hence, Covenant of WORK. However, man couldn't keep his own aspect of the covenant and as a result fell. Consequently, sin came into the World through him. Mankind became miserable, contaminated, and alienated from God. The most painful part of it all is that we lack everything it could take to redeem ourselves back to God. We were sinful!
But glory to God for the good news we received in the birth and ministry of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Who came fulfilled the Covenant of WORK that Adam could not keep and also instituted the *COVENANT OF GRACE* which you and I now enjoy. "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous." (Rom.5:19).
Through Christ Jesus we've been made righteous not before men but before God.
Glory to God!π
THANK GOD FOR THE GIFT OF HIMSELF IN JESUS CHRIST!!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!πππ
