REPORT ON STUDENT UNION GOVERNMENT ELECTION OF ABSCHOHMAT.

It is an atmosphere of celebration in Abia State College Of Health Sciences And Management Technology, Aba as the students elected their officer's today 11th October 2024 at the school center field.
The election started around 10am with an address from the Rector Mr. Alloy Okezie E., the Rector while addressing the students, encourage them on the importance to vote on credibility and not on friendship, coursemate or brother. He also made the students know that the exams will still hold on Tuesday.
The Electoral committee after the Rector's address started accreditation and voting commences thereafter, team of Bursary staff assisted in clearing the students before voting and all the students were allowed to vote with his/her official college attire not departmental T-shirts.
Though there are lots of positions, but some candidates didn't have opponents and the 4 positions contested are President, Vice President, Assistant Director of Welfare and Assistant Director of socials
The newly elected president Okeoma Akachi ThankGod of Medical Laboratory Technician pulled 139 votes to beat his opponent Young Promise of Pharmacy Technician who got 55 votes, while Uzoigwe Ijeoma Lilian got 133 votes to emerge the Vice President against her opponent Okoro Ufere Vanessa who got 60 votes, Divine Munachimso emerge the Assistant Director of Welfare pulled 134 votes as against her opponent Ojo Gift Lolo who got 45 votes, Abel Divine emerge the Assistant Director of Socials with 125 votes as against her opponent Eziokwu Perpetual who got 55 votes.
The Electoral Chairman declared and returned all candidates winner of their respectives offices. Here are the names of the Newly elected Students Union Government Executives

It was an atmosphere of celebration as Abia State College of Health Sciences And Management Technology, Aba did her 12th and 13th Matriculation for the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 academic session on Friday 10th May 2024 at the school matriculation ground and commissiong of the newly completed Administrative block by the Rector Mr. Alloysius Ekeleme Okezie.
The ceremony which had in attendance the Executive Governor of Abia State and the visitor to the college Dr. Alex Chioma Otti Ofr,ably represented by the majority leader Abia State House of Assembly Hon. Okoro Uchenna Kalu and other house members who were in attendance.
The Governor charge the students to be ambassadors of good behavior and to take the studies very serious, the matriculants through the Registrar of the college Elder B.O Ibendiogwu took oat of allegiance.

THE VENUE IS SET FOR THE MATRICULATION

Earlier today,the Joint Committee on Education and Health Committee of Abia State House of Assembly were in Abia State College of Health Sciences And Management Technology, Aba for an oversight function.
The Rector, Mr. Alloysius Ekeleme Okezie took them round the school with his Management Team. The Education committee which is chaired by Hon. Okoro Uchenna Kalu and the Health committee chaired by the chief whip of the house, Hon. Emeka Obioma acted on the directives of the house for an on spot assessment to enable them carry out their legislative assignments.
