UNDERSTAND WHAT HAPPENS ON THE IELTS EXAM DAY
Information and advice about your IELTS test day
Most candidate might feel a bit nervous about the IELTS test day. So that things go smoothly as possible , weβve put together some information to help our clients understand what will happen on the day of IELTS test.
Candidates will need to arrive in good time for the IELTS test. We advise one hour to the test scheduled time. Confirmation email provides candidates with timings and procedures on the test day. If any candidate arrives late, he /she may not be allowed to take the test. Candidates will receive an email at least three days before the test so they will know at what time the test starts.
For those candidates that requested for special arrangments as a result of disability or other conditions, adjustments will be made for them on the test day. We have contacted the test centres six weeks ago.
IELTS test centres deliver the IELTS Speaking test via video calls. This means greater flexibility in delivering IELTS Speaking tests, along with increased availability. Candidates will take the Video-call Speaking test at an official IELTS test centre with the same high standard of identity verification. The test will be exactly the same as the in-person Speaking test in terms of content, scoring, timing, question format and security arrangements. Delivered by an IELTS Speaking Examiner, the Video-call Speaking test will maintain the face-to-face features of the in-person Speaking test.
Candidates need to bring:
π International Passport
π A pencil and a pen (a pencil will be needed for Listening and Reading)
an eraser
We recommend that candidates bring:
πΉ A transparent bottle of water.
Candidates will not be able to take anything else into the test room.
Switch off mobile phone and any other electronic devices. Candidates will be asked to place these with other personal belongings outside the test room.
Candidates that will do an IELTS on paper test, can take pens, pencils and erasers into the examination room but candidates that will do an IELTS on computer test, the centre will provide you with pencils and paper. ( We still advise candidates go with theirs).
Provisional test results will be available online 3 to 5 days after taking IELTS on a computer or 13 days after sitting a IELTS on paper test. Official Test Report Form (TRF) can be picked up from our offices -- Genius Spring Consult Limited or mailed to you.
