Esomnofu Chidiebube Ifechukwu is the reason I started online Mathematics tutoring.
Back in 2020, during the COVID-19 lockdown, I started seeing Esomnofu Chidiebube Ifechukwu’s posts on Facebook. I later went to YouTube to watch more of his online Mathematics teaching.
At that time, he was still starting out. His numbers and results were small, but there was something I saw that really caught my attention:
PASSION.
The passion with which he taught made me say, “One day, I will do this too.”
I kept following him for over a year, studying what he was doing. Eventually, in late 2021, I made my first YouTube video. It got only about 3–4 views, and I became discouraged and stopped.
But in September 2022, I started again—this time on Facebook and YouTube, and later Instagram and TikTok.
Facebook and TikTok grew relatively fast, but YouTube was painfully slow. There were times I almost gave up.
Thankfully, I had also reached out to Esomnofu, and he kept giving me guidance based on his own experience.
I remember seeing him buy a car around 2022/2023 and thinking, “Wait… is this not a Mathematics teacher? A Mathematics teacher bought a car?” 😂
That showed me that there was light in this thing.
But honestly, the car wasn’t what inspired me.
It was the passion I saw in him when he was still starting.
One advice from him that has stayed with me was:
“Don’t make money your drive. If money is your motivation, you will get discouraged. Focus on the impact you want to make.”
Today, as I look at my own journey with Prosperous Online Maths, I can confidently say that Esomnofu was one of the people who planted the seed.
What looked small to him at the time looked mighty to me.
Thank you, Esomnofu Chidiebube Ifechukwu, for being an inspiration. 🙏❤️
Someone is watching you today just as I watched you years ago. Keep making an impact.
