Banyan Park is searching for an experienced, supportive, and community-minded Centre Director to lead our early learning service into its next chapter.

We’re looking for someone who has experience leading a childcare centre, guiding a team with confidence and care, and who understands what it takes to deliver high-quality early learning. Experience in the accreditation process is essential, as you’ll help steer Banyan Park toward achieving this important milestone.

In this role, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations, support and mentor our educators, and help create a positive, secure environment where children and staff can thrive. You’ll also play a key part in building strong relationships with families and the wider community — the heart of who we are.

Banyan Park Early Learning Centre, Norfolk Island’s only community-based early childhood service, is seeking a dynamic Business Manager to join our team!

This full-time role offers above-award wages and the opportunity to lead Banyan Park through its ongoing growth, helping the centre continue making a meaningful impact in our community.

You will oversee all operational and business functions while fostering a safe, high-quality, educational, and nurturing environment for children, staff, and families.

No childcare qualifications are required—what matters is strong leadership, proven business management experience, and a passion for supporting children, families, and staff.

Somewhat scary.

: A range of children's sand products, sold nationally at Officeworks, Educating Kids, Modern Teaching Aids and Zart Art between 2020 and 2025, have been recalled due to asbestos fears.

The recall was issued by supplier Educational Colours for three products labelled as Kadink Sand (1.3kg), Educational Colours - Rainbow Sand (1.3kg), and Creatistics - Coloured Sand (1kg).
