Good communication is not only about what we say — it’s about how others receive it.
That’s why the DISC model is such a practical tool for workplaces.

In DISC, people tend to prefer one of four styles:
🔴 D – Dominant
Direct, fast-paced, results-focused. Prefer clear, concise information.
🟡 I – Influencer
Optimistic, social, collaborative. Respond well to enthusiasm and interaction.
🟢 S – Steady/Supporter
Calm, patient, reliable. Appreciate clarity, reassurance, and time to process. They are known for their diplomatic skills and are the harmoniser.
🔵 C – Controller
Analytical, detail-oriented, structured. Want facts, logic, and well-prepared information.
There is no “best” style.
But adapting your communication — without losing your authenticity — can make your conversations smoother and your influence stronger.
This is particularly helpful when you need to:
• present an idea
• get buy-in from leadership
• manage a team
• negotiate
• resolve misunderstandings
• collaborate across cultures
A small adjustment in style often makes a big difference in how your message is received.
