Thank you to The Brief for highlighting International Training College Lingua’s continued growth and our campus development in Windhoek. Small correction however...Enrolment figures indicated were recorded before the June 2025 intake. For 2026, registrations have already surpassed 10,000 students, and registration for the June/July 2026 intake is still ongoing.

International Training College Lingua has started construction of a new N$300 million campus in Windhoek as part of its nationwide expansion strategy.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ingrid Kloppers-Mettler said the project will be implemented in three phases, with phase one expected to be completed by the end of next year.

“We are currently constructing a new campus centre in Windhoek as part of our expansion plan. The development will take place in three phases at a total cost of about N$300 million. Phase one, valued at around N$100 million, is expected to be completed by the end of next year,” Kloppers-Mettler said.

She said the first phase will operate as a functional but smaller version of the full campus, featuring administration offices, classrooms, a library and the first academic block.

Lingua embarks on N$300m Windhoek campus development International Training College Lingua has started construction of a new N$300 million campus in Windhoek as part of its nationwide expansion strategy.

On 15 May 2026, the Lingua Law Consortium organized an educational court excursion for law students to provide them with practical exposure to the functioning of the legal system and the application of the law in practice. During the excursion, students attended proceedings at both the High Court and the Magistrate’s Court in Windhoek, where they observed a variety of civil and criminal matters, including assault, r**e, land dispute, and contractual dispute cases. The experience provided students with valuable insight into courtroom procedure, legal argument, judicial conduct, and the practical administration of justice, allowing them to witness firsthand how legal principles studied in class are applied in real court proceedings.

A major highlight of the excursion was the opportunity for students to participate in an engaging and interactive question-and-answer session with Magistrate Utjombala, who graciously took time out of his schedule to speak with the group following one of the court sessions. Students were able to ask a wide range of questions about the legal profession, courtroom practice, judicial responsibilities, and career development within the field of law, making the session both insightful and inspiring. Furthermore, Magistrate Utjombala kindly agreed to deliver a guest lecture to the students during the next semester, creating yet another exciting opportunity for continued mentorship and professional exposure.

In addition, the group also had the privilege of briefly engaging with Kadhila Amoomo following one of the court sessions. During the interaction, he welcomed the possibility of hosting the students for a future educational visit to his law firm next semester, where they would gain further exposure to the practical realities of legal practice within a professional firm environment.
