Our Independence celebration at school was truly lovely. The children enjoyed a delightful puppet show, through which they learned about our history in a meaningful and engaging way. We also shared a beautiful cake decorated with the Namibian flag, making the moment even more special and memorable for everyone.

Where did it all start for Wake Up! Montessori? π
βI started the Wake Up! Montessori Early Education Centre in the marginalised community of Otjomuise in 2010, driven by the belief that every child deserves the best start in life. That means beginning early, in pre-school, in a nurturing environment led by trained and committed teachers. π±π©βπ«
The Montessori approach fits beautifully with the natural curiosity of young learners, giving them the freedom to explore, learn at their own pace, and work hands-on with real materials. π§©β¨
Wake Up! soon became my mission. It took dedication and teamwork to grow the centre, from two to seven classrooms, and to build a team of passionate educators who went on to become Montessori principals themselves. π«πͺ
In 2019, my time to move on came, but my wish remains the same: for the centre to thrive, stay true to its mission, and continue nurturing a lifelong love of learning in every child. ππ«
