A sneak preview of the C1 Dekor winner, Dakota Hansen, seeing his car for the first time at Spes Bona Motor Company yesterday. We asked him how he experienced the winning: "I was busy warming up for a hockey match when my father kept on calling me to come over. All I heard was someone saying You won the car in the raffle! I was so happy, I couldn't believe it, and then Jarret said, sorry boet, this is actually just a prank call. I was so shocked and then he said, no, just joking, you really did win it!" Needless to say, Dakota was rather distracted during the hockey match :) Congrats Dakota, we are so happy for you!
Another thank you to the Scouts who spent a lot of time setting up the Foofie Slide on Friday, making sure that no one got injured on Saturday and then breaking down on Sunday. You guys are awesome!

We would like to thank Romondo Jordani, Etienne and the rest of the crew for setting up on Friday, sorting out all electrical issues on Friday already so that we could have a great Saturday and a spotlessly clean field by 7pm on Saturday! Everything worked brilliantly! Thank you so much!

20 years ago the St Pauls band was winning all competitions but only due to endless hours of practice, even on weekends!

The current Drumline band was invited to perform at the Fun Day months ago and they did a great show too!

It was only 3-4 weeks ago that I thought it would be such a great walk down memory lane to have old scholars perform at the Fun Day too as a surprise for the other old scholars. Several calls later, we had Andre Plaatjies, Tega Shiimi Ya Shiimi, Pauli Witt, Greg Chase, Ryan Geyser (who had to withdraw due to Karate competition) & Jurgen Spieker (who also couldn't come to Wdh because he had unexpected work commitments at the last moment) and Rodrigo Pimenta committed.
The local guys recorded their first practice session 2 weeks ago, sent it to Andre & Jurgen via Whatsapp so that they could get into it again. Andre arrived Friday 25th for the first full group session. The result: fantastic!
