FOOD PRICES DROPPING: Namibmills said it will, as of 17 April decrease the price of various food products.
Rice: 5-6 percent
Pasta Polana: 9-11 percent
King Pasta: 9-11 percent
Polana instant noodles: 15 percent

The company’s Financial Manager said the input costs for manufacturing pasta and producing noodles has decreased and that global rice proves have declined following an increased global supply and a record production by India.

The Prosecutor General, Martha Imalwa is challenging those accusing her of being corrupt to provide evidence, saying that she is “sick and tired of being called corrupt”, with no evidence to back up the claims. Imalwa did not mince her words in questioning those “dirtifying” her name.

JUST IN: Government lawyer Eva Nangolo, through her lawyer Sisa Namandje, has challenged justice minister Yvonne Dausab's decision to withdraw her as a legal aid counsel. Nangolo argues Dausab's decision is invalid in law and that she was not afforded a right of reply. Nangolo gained national notoriety after remarks she posted on Twitter about the Damara people, whom she said she knew for "breaking bottles, knife stabbing, insults and no culture identity". She made the remarks while commenting on the Damara culture, which she said is "beautiful".

Fuel decrease set for January

2023 will be start on a positive note to motorists after the Ministry of Mines and Energy annouced that diesel price will decrease by 220 cents per litre and petrol by 180 cents per litre on January 4 at 00.01.

The new diesel price will be N$ 20.65 in Walvis Bay while petrol will be N$ 18.28.
