From May 4th to May 8th, 2026, the Schools Biodiversity Awareness Campaigns were successfully conducted in the Omatako and Okakarara Constituencies under the project: Strengthening Implementation of Global Biodiversity Targets through Education & Engagement. 🌍📚
Through interactive four (4) learning stations, learners explored biodiversity conservation (Ombombo mobile classroom), climate change (Exhibition), Climate Change 30 seconds game, and the important role of museums in protecting Namibia’s natural heritage. The campaign encouraged teamwork, participation, and youth engagement while supporting Namibia’s National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP) as well as the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF).

On Wednesday (29 April 2026), we took learning outside the classroom! 🌍📚
EduVentures hosted a mobile classroom session in front of the Independence Memorial Museum in Windhoek, creating a dynamic space for engagement, discussion, and knowledge sharing.
This moment was particularly special as it highlighted our long-standing partnership with SODI under the Windhoek–Berlin collaboration. Over the years, we have grown together, from the early days of the EduMobile concept to where we are today, continuing to empower communities through education and capacity development.
We also reflected on our journey alongside partners like NID, discussing how collaboration has shaped our work and impact over time.
✨ What have we learned along the way?
Strong partnerships make lasting impact possible
Growth comes from learning and adapting together
Empowering people locally is key to sustainability
Trust and shared vision drive success
We are proud of how far we have come and excited for what lies ahead!

From the 26th March to 2nd April 2026, EduVentures successfully implemented the Conservancy and Community Forest Training Programme in Muduva Nyangana and Goerge Mukoya Conservancies in Kavango East region, aimed at strengthening community understanding and engagement in biodiversity conservation.
Through participatory workshops and hands-on learning, community members and youth were introduced to key concepts such as biodiversity, ecosystem services, climate change, Community-Based Natural Resource Management (CBNRM), and Access and Benefit-Sharing (ABS), while also exploring how local action connects to national and global frameworks like the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) and NBSAP 3.
The training encouraged active participation through group discussions, storytelling, and practical exercises, resulting in strong engagement and the development of community-based conservation action plans. Overall, the programme enhanced local capacity, strengthened environmental awareness, and supported practical steps toward sustainable natural resource management within both conservancies.
