UNAM Heritage Conservation and Management

We have an amazing group of new heritage conservation students this year. Very engaging and hands on. The future of heritage in Namibia is in good hands.

Our first heritage seminar kicked off today with some brilliant presentations from our two recipients of the Gerda Henkel Foundation Scholarhips in Material culture. Congratulations to Daiman Hangula & Albertina Nekongo.

Museum Outreach Programme kick off workshop. Collaboration and consultation dictate our approach.

We have a new initiative in the Heritage Programme at UNAM - The Museum Outreach Project was launched recently. We gratefully appreciate the generous funding from the European Union. This is a collaborative project between UNAM and the Goethe Institute.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Heritage Management and Conservation will be running in 2021. Watch this space for application information.

Its humbling to see Post Graduate heritage students volunteering to clean up the Owela Museum. You guys are awesome.

UNAM Postgrad heritage students volunteered their time to give Owela Museum the much needed makeover. Keep the spirit up.

What a productive day we had with this year's participants. The Owela Museum Clean Up Campaign went very well. The museum garden is now totally transformed. Learning by doing is the motto.
