The ideal situation will be, for students to take both Maths & English. If a student isn't comfortable using English, they won't be able to answer their Maths problems correctly. In most Namibian schools, students change over to an English education medium in grade 4. We also have to remember that English is a language spoken all over the world. That is why students should ideally be taking Maths & English, to ensure they are prepared to handle any and all Maths problems, and later in life whatever they encounter.

As Head Instructor Rethie has the most contact with Kumon Head Office in South Africa. It has been a challenging, but rewarding experience, building the centre. You always have to be open to learn, grown and develop! For Rethie you should not have a win or fail mentality, but see each challenge as a win or learn situation!

Routine is a skill few students have. By doing Maths daily, for only 30 minutes, they practice Maths daily and it gives a better result, than trying to spend 4 hours one day, to try and understand how Maths work.
Not only Maths, but in all subjects, but also later in life, play routine a BIG role.
