Herzlichen Glückwunsch an unsere 28 Schüler:innen aus Klasse 11 und 12 2025, die im letzten Jahr ihre Prüfung für das Deutsche Sprachdiplom (DSD) bestanden haben.
Bei der Versammlung am letzten Montag wurden die Diplome für DSD I und II von Herrn Florian Seitz überreicht. Wir bedanken uns bei der deutschen Botschaft für ihre Unterstützung und wünschen unseren Schüler:innen alles Gute auf ihrem weiteren Lebensweg mit Deutsch.

Das Deutsche Sprachdiplom dient als offizieller Nachweis der Deutschkenntnisse der Schüler:innen an DSD-Schulen und eröffnet ihnen vielfältige Möglichkeiten in ihrem späteren Berufsleben, ob in Namibia oder sogar in Deutschland.

Congratulations to our 28 students from grades 11 and 12 2025 who passed their German Language Diploma (DSD) exams last year.
At last Monday's assembly, Mr Florian Seitz presented the diplomas for DSD I and II. We would like to thank the German Embassy for their support and wish our students all the best for their future with German.

The German Language Diploma serves as official proof of the German language skills of students at DSD schools and opens up a wide range of opportunities for them in their future careers, whether in Namibia or even in Germany.

Workshops for German Learners: A Weekend Full of Language, Culture, and Adventure!
In early October 2025, fifty students from the Deutsche Höhere Privatschule Windhoek - DHPS, Delta Secondary School, and Namib High School had the opportunity to prepare for the German Language Diploma (DSD) in the upcoming year and spent a weekend at the desert oasis of Goanikontes. Over the course of two days, they fully immersed themselves in the German language and culture. The workshops were jointly organized by the three schools, the GermanSection Unam Language Department of the University of Namibia (UNAM), and the German Embassy in Windhoek, withfunding from the Federal Republic of Germany.
The weekend seminar was a whirlwind of creative activities designed to enhance the participants' German skills in an exciting and practical way. The participants danced, cooked, invented things in German, engaged in sports, and celebrated
together. As a special highlight, the group hiked early in the morning to the historic Weitzenberg ruins, an old German farmhouse that was destroyed by a flood in
1917.
The German Embassy in Windhoek would like to thank all the volunteers, the Goanikontes team, and everyone involved who contributed to this great success.
This unforgettable weekend served as an inspiring reminder for everyone of thevalue of language, culture, and collaboration.
