🏆 PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS! 🏑 🤩

What a weekend for our First Team Girls!

The semi-finals and finals were hosted in Walvis Bay by Walvis Bay Gymnasium. On Friday afternoon, the girls played their semi-final, which ended in a draw and went to a nail-biting showdown. Our girls held their nerve and came out victorious, securing their place in the final! 💪🏼

On Saturday, they faced St George’s in the final. Once again, the match ended in a draw, sending the teams into another tense showdown. After an absolute nail-biter, our girls came out on top and were crowned Premier League Champions! 🏆🎉

A huge congratulations to our team on an incredible achievement. We are so proud of your determination, teamwork and never-give-up attitude!

A special congratulations to our matrics, who played their final school hockey match. What a way to end your high school hockey journey! 🥹💙 We will miss you dearly!

Thank you to all our amazing parents and supporters for your encouragement and support throughout the season. It means so much to our girls and coaching team.

A Matric Dance invitation… from the sky!

Our Grade 12 students received their Matric Dance invitations in truly unforgettable style this week! Six skydivers landed on the beach where our High School students were waiting, delivering the invitations for a very special walk down the white carpet.

A spectacular surprise for our Matrics — and the perfect start to the countdown to their big night! ✨

Vulkane zum Ausbrechen gebracht!

Unsere Klasse 4D hat im Sachkundeunterricht eigene Vulkane gebaut und durfte sie anschließend draußen zum „Ausbruch“ bringen!

Mit viel Begeisterung wurde beobachtet, wie die selbstgebauten Vulkane brodelten, schäumten und ihre „Lava“ ausspuckten. Ein spannendes Experiment, bei dem Lernen und Spaß perfekt zusammenkamen! 🧪😃

Meet one of PSS’s youngest racing stars! 🏍️

At just 7 years old, PSS student Louw Schoeman is one of the youngest riders taking part in this year’s FIM Africa Motocross of African Nations (MXoAN)!

Summer Camp Adventures in Germany 🇩🇪

Attie and Josefina are having a wonderful time at summer camp in Germany, together with around 70 young people from all over the world! 🌍

Their days are filled with German lessons, games and sports, and they have already made many new friends from different countries. They have also had the opportunity to explore a little more of Germany, with exciting trips to Cologne and Koblenz.

And they are certainly experiencing a real summer — with unusually hot temperatures for Germany! ☀️😅

Another very special highlight was getting to experience the solar eclipse — a memorable moment to add to an already unforgettable adventure.

We hope Attie and Josefina continue to enjoy every moment, make wonderful memories and return home with many stories to tell! 🇩🇪❤️🌍

Today's Physics classroom had no walls... 🌊

Our Grade 8 learners swapped desks for rocks as they explored Physics along the Swakopmund coastline. Real-world learning at its best!

🏑 Congratulations to all our U9, U11 and U13 hockey players who proudly represented Private School Swakopmund at the Mini-World Cup in Windhoek!

The competition was fierce, and after two long and challenging days of hockey, our teams gave their all and represented PSS with determination, teamwork and pride.

A special congratulations goes to our U11 Girls, who were crowned champions after a thrilling penalty shootout victory over St Paul's in the final!

Well done as well to our U9 Boys, who fought hard all the way to the final and finished with a fantastic silver medal. We are incredibly proud of your effort and sportsmanship!

A huge shout-out to all our players who were selected as All Stars—a wonderful recognition of your outstanding performances throughout the tournament.

To top it all off, PSS finished 5th overall out of 10 participating schools—an achievement we can all be proud of!

Well done to every player, coach and supporter for making PSS proud.

🎉 A huge congratulations to Attie and Josefina! 🇩🇪✈️

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Attie and Josefina, who have both been selected by the Goethe-Institut to attend an international summer camp for DaF (German as a Foreign Language) learners in Bonn, Germany!

Their creative application, including a video and letter, impressed the selection committee, and we're especially thrilled that our school had not just one, but two students chosen for this wonderful opportunity.

The three-week camp takes place from 2–22 August, and Attie and Josefina departed on 1 August to begin what promises to be an unforgettable experience of language learning, cultural exchange, and new friendships with students from around the world.

Congratulations once again, Attie and Josefina! We wish you an incredible adventure, lots of new experiences, and memories that will last a lifetime. 🇩🇪✨

Theatre Soup 2026 was everything a winter's evening should be! 🎭🍲✨

An evening filled with laughter, outstanding entertainment and incredible High School talent had the audience thoroughly entertained from beginning to end.

A heartfelt thank you to our talented cast and crew, the dedicated backstage and technical teams, and everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the production such a success. Special thanks go to our directors, Ms Berner and Ms Gradler, whose vision, creativity and commitment brought the production to life.

The warm and inviting atmosphere was made even more special by the beautiful décor created by our Grade 9 parents, while Alte Brücke treated everyone to a delicious bowl of soup and Glühwein—the perfect accompaniment to a chilly Swakopmund evening.

When talent, teamwork, creativity and community come together, the result is something truly memorable. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported Theatre Soup 2026. We hope you enjoyed every moment as much as we enjoyed bringing it to you!
