MYO is an intensive afternoon schooling project, situated in the heart of Mondesa, Swakopmund.
Mondesa Youth Opportunities Trust (MYO) is a nonprofit, after-school enrichment programme in Swakopmund, Namibia. MYO runs formal classes for grades 4 to 8 and provides continued support for its alumni from grade 9 onwards.

A very special homecoming at MYO.
Today we had the privilege of welcoming one of our own back to MYO. There is something truly special when an alumnus returns to share their journey with our current learners.
Lizinho spoke about dreaming of becoming a doctor when he was a Grade 4 learner at MYO many years ago — and about the pride he now feels living that very dream. He shared how perseverance, hard work, and holding on to that dream carried him through, and how he could not have done it without his MYO family and the support of this programme.
Calling himself a “very proud product of MYO” - Lizinho encouraged our learners to work hard, believe in themselves, and follow their dreams.
He took time to speak to individual learners, engaged with classes, and made a special effort to connect with our alumni who are currently finding their way through high school.
Moments like these remind us why we do what we do.
