Last week, two Nyondo learners attended Camp GLOW (Guys and Girls Leading Our World) in Windhoek with 78 others from every region in Namibia. They learned skills for gender, personal and leadership development, enjoyed sharing with a diverse group of their peers and visited landmarks around Windhoek, including Parliament and the Independence Memorial Museum!

Many, many thanks to The Namibian for their donation of newspaper booklets to our school library through the Let's Read program, and a special thank you to Nakara for sponsoring the bounding of the papers into these beautiful, personalized books! We are so grateful. Newspapers are the learners' favorite reading materials!

if our stay was a fairy tale
we would charge and rescue u back
on a yacht, our teacher we would sail together
on an island where we did say "yes we did it"
and if we had a copy of u ,
it could be so beautiful to keep seeing u,

u did not even know how very special u were at this school,

u r really leaving us breathless
u were everything good to this school
we still cannot believe that u 'r going,
u just walked out of our goals we plan together

so sad that u 're leaving us
if 'ur performance was a storybook,
we would put u on a very first page
and the last chapter would be...

Its a heartbroken to learn that this teacher (ms shapi) is not going to be at nyondo combined shchool anymore as from today 13th of FEb 2015, shes transfring to kaisos combined school. Its a big lose to the school and hope the vacum left no one will replace it! Nyondo combined school will mis u and wish u all the best with ur new school! We love u! Thank u for cmng at nyondo combined, it has been great to be with u! Byeeeeeeeeeeee!
