NEWS UPDATE: CORPORATE RELATIONS AND STAKEHOLDERS ENGAGEMENT
Our Administrative and Training Support Staffs left by Ms Mariane Mangundu, Acting Head of Training and Student Services concluded their three-day National Assessment Administration Regulatory Workshop in Windhoek today, bringing together Assessment and Curriculum Coordinators from across the TVET sector. Day 3 discussions focused on malpractice, grievances, compliance and strengthening legally-grounded assessment practices in line with the Vocational Education and Training Act, 2008, and Government Notice No. 318 of 2023.
Delivering the closing remarks, the NTA Manager for Assessment and Certification, Nicoletta Kooper-Kolomoni, expressed appreciation to participants for their active engagement, professionalism and commitment throughout the workshop. She noted that the engagement served as an important reminder of the collective responsibility to uphold fair, credible and quality assessment practices within Namibia’s TVET system. Kooper-Kolomoni further emphasised that Assessment and Curriculum Coordinators play a critical, though often unseen, role at the foundation of the national summative assessment system, adding that regulations can only be effective through the people who understand, apply and give life to them.
Participants were encouraged to carry forward the knowledge shared during the workshop as a continued commitment to strengthening public confidence in TVET qualifications and graduates.
