The start of this week brought on some very cold weather, causing our geyser to burst and leaving our baby home without hot water. Despite their busy schedule, JW Van Der Merwe Plumbing made the time to stop by and fix our geyser. Thanks to their prompt and efficient service, our little ones can now enjoy warm baths and get tucked into bed all clean and cozy during this chilly weather.

Many children in our community are facing the cold without the necessary warm clothing. We at Hope for Life Foundation are reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea. If you have any gently used warm items such as beanies, scarves, gloves, jackets, or tracksuits, for children aged 6 months to 12 years, please consider donating them to our cause.

Every piece of clothing can make a huge difference in a child’s life, providing not just warmth but also comfort and hope. Together, we can ensure that no child has to endure the harsh cold without proper clothing.

We're incredibly grateful to everyone who attended our Adoption and Fostercare information session. Adoption and Fostercare are fundamental priorities for us at the Hope for Life Foundation. While we've formed strong bonds with our little ones, our goal at the Hope for Life Baby House is to place them in loving homes where they can thrive and be cherished just as they are here.

While every donation we receive is deeply appreciated, we must admit that some items we've received have left us pleasantly surprised, to say the least! From X-rays of fractured femurs to army clothes, our donation bins have seen quite the assortment of interesting finds.

However, we recently received a donation that truly takes the cake: A smoke gr***de. Yes, you read that right! A wire pull SMOKE GR***DE.

At Hope for Life, we believe in finding the humour and joy in every situation, and receiving such unexpected donations only adds to the adventure of our work. There's never a dull moment, that's for sure!
