Okakarara VTC Centre Manager Mr. Moses Tjirare and German Sparkassenstiftung Country Representative Ms. Angela Njunju presented the Best Exhibitor Award of the 4th Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week to Electrical General VET Trainer Ms. Emma Ashilungu.

Receiving the award, Ms. Ashilungu said the recognition serves as motivation to do even better in the future and thanked the trainees for their hard work, dedication, and teamwork.

As the main sponsor, Ms. Njunju praised the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit displayed throughout the week, saying the event highlights the important role vocational training plays in creating opportunities and driving economic growth.

Mr. Tjirare congratulated all participating workshops and announced that next year's event will be bigger and better, with expanded prizes and runner-up awards.

Speaking at the official opening of the Okakarara Vocational Training Centre (OVTC) Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week today, Otjozondjupa Regional Governor, John //Khamuseb, praised the institution for its continued role as a strategic partner in advancing regional and national development goals.

He said the Centre has consistently produced competent graduates who contribute to economic growth, job creation, and self-employment through its diverse vocational training programmes, benefiting not only the Otjozondjupa Region but the country as a whole.

โ€œThe work being done at Okakarara VTC directly addresses one of the most important socio-economic realities reflected in our national statistics, the need to transform our young population into a productive and innovative workforce,โ€ he said.

The week-long programme began on Monday and will conclude on Friday.
