Tomorrow, 18 April 2026, they will represent our school at the Namport ||Kharas Regional Debating Championships at Angra Pequena School Hall, Lüderitz.

This platform is more than a competition; it is a testament to critical thought, eloquence, and the pursuit of intellectual excellence. Our learners stand ready to articulate ideas that shape discourse and inspire change.

We invite our school community and stakeholders to attend in solidarity as our team takes this defining step toward the National Debate Competition in September 2026.

We're incredibly proud to share that eight of our boys have qualified for the National Rugby Trials scheduled for Friday 17 April at the Hage Geingob Stadium in Windhoek. They'll be flying the flag for both our school and the lI Kharas Region.

Today we Celebrate Herman,

A gem from the fertile streets of Area 7, a learner from Luderitz Secondary School Herman Shimwetheleni is making waves in the football scene, earning recognition not only for his talent but also for his discipline and consistency. In a sport where young players often struggle to balance passion with focus, Shimwetheleni stands out as a rare example of dedication meeting opportunity.

One of Herman’s most remarkable achievements is holding the record for the most appearances in the prestigious Newspaper Cup competition , 4 consecutive appearances for //Kharas region. This accomplishment speaks volumes about his consistency, endurance, and ability to perform under pressure. While many players come and go, Herman has remained a constant presence, proving his reliability and importance to his team over time.

At the latest Addition of the Nedbank Newspaper cup, Herman Shimwetheleni was a true manifestation of Isaiah 60:22. He started only one game in which he scored 2 glorious goals and scooped the Man of the Match award.

*Part-Time German Language Tutor Needed – Lüderitz Secondary School*

Lüderitz Secondary School is seeking a part-time German Language Tutor to teach basic German language skills to our Grade 10 Hospitality and Technical learners.
*One class group of 21 learners*

Position: Part-Time German Language Tutor

Location: Lüderitz Secondary School
Start Date: *01 June 2026*

Key Responsibilities:

- Teach introductory German language skills suitable for beginners
- Support learners in developing basic speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities
- Incorporate practical vocabulary relevant to hospitality and technical fields
- Prepare simple lesson materials and activities
- Encourage learner participation and confidence in using German

Requirements:

- Proficiency in German (spoken and written)
- Teaching or tutoring experience preferred
- Ability to work effectively with secondary school learners
- Passion for language education and cultural exchange
- Reliable and able to commit to agreed teaching hours

Working Hours:
Part-time (*After school*)
