We are incredibly proud to celebrate Joshua on being crowned KIKAWI Prince for WIKA 2026!

A truly special moment, as Joshua follows in the footsteps of his great-grandfather, Prince Hannes Pöttner, who reigned in 1973 and was one of the original members of WIKA founded in 1952. What a wonderful legacy to carry forward!

🌿 Our Tara House learners wrapped up their Botany theme with an exciting field trip to the National Botanical Research Institute.

They explored the Genebank, Herbarium, Botanical Garden, and Desert Biome House; discovering just how amazing Namibia’s plant life truly is. 🌵🌸

It was a day filled with curiosity, hands-on learning, and a deeper appreciation for the beauty and importance of plants in our environment.

5 years. Countless school holidays. One shared vision. 🏫✨

Holiday by holiday, brick by brick. Because construction could only happen when classrooms were empty, every school break became an opportunity to build something better for our students.

Along the way, we also consolidated and institutionalized the school properties, creating a stronger and more sustainable foundation for the future of our campus.

Today we’re proud to share some before and after moments that show just how far we’ve come.

A special thank you to Holms Construction for partnering with us to complete all the phases of development of our beloved Tara House Academy. Your dedication and craftsmanship helped turn years of patience and perseverance into a space our students can truly be proud of.

MEET THE TEAM FOR 2026 🌍

We’re thrilled to welcome Gerlind Bader to the Tara House Academy family! 🌿📚

Gerlind is a graduate of Stellenbosch University and UNISA and began her teaching journey at Delta Secondary School in 2015. She brings with her 9 years of experience teaching Grade 10–12 Mathematics, along with a genuine passion for learning and learner growth.

When she’s not in the classroom, Gerlind enjoys cooking and baking, crocheting, reading, and spending time in nature 🍰🧶📖🌳.

We’re so excited to have her on board and can’t wait for our learners to benefit from her knowledge, dedication, and warmth. ✨
